They are called Dual Cue and they aren’t just on Boeing airplanes. The Space Shuttle and the Concord used them, so there must be some merit to their usage.

They're also more correctly called sperry flight directors, and have been the standard long before the cartoon banana v-bars were introduced.

Most Boeings are now on the cross-hair system. V-bars were used more often in (as we say..) the old days. Some systems have both and can be selectable. Many operators and POI's determined on low visibility approaches (RALM) it was difficult to determine the "gap" between the chevron (v-bar) and a/c symbol (triangle) accurately enough to authorize RALM. This was particularly noted on, what was then, newer EFIS displays where the color saturation made the differential line mostly impossible to perceive and view. Therefore the split cue system lives on! Buy a HUD

Hi there. My application is in and my fingers are crossed. Could someone there post or send me a typical 16 day schedule on either airplane?
I take it from previous posts they are currently hiring for December and January classes?
Thanks in advance!

The most typical schedule at Omni is you have no clue where you’re going or what you’ll do. Some go to Japan a lot some go to Europe but honestly there’s no rhyme or reason for anything they do. Or where you go. And you won’t necessarily be gone all 17 days.

Also I just learned there will be no more vacations Hawaii flying. Looks to be gone forever.

Just curious, did you have an internal recommendation? Best of luck either way.

I did not. Hoping the rest of my Resume makes up for it. 🤞

Thanks for the answers so far,

Does Omni do AQP training?
Is the initial CBT home training paid or unpaid?
