Hello everyone,
Assessment received today, I suck at taking test in general. Any advise on preparing for the assessment? I have 7 days to complete it. My separation date is not till later next year. For everyone here who is fortunate to received a CJO, how long is it good for? and can you defer a class date for later one or would that disqualify and have to go thru the process again. Thank you in advance.

The key to the assessment, in my opinion, is a quiet space with ZERO distractions and staying composed. Remember, you’re on camera. More so, each assessment takes an average of an hour and with the volume of applicants, there’s no way that they could watch each video. Could be wrong about this but I have a strong suspension that bots will trigger a flag for any loud noises that may reflect an outburst of frustration or anxiety, even a kiddo or dog barking in the background could reflect a disregard for the instructions of “quiet place with no distractions.”
Practice the Cut-e modules and you’ll be fine.

I personally used Spitfire Elite, good friend of mine used them as well. We were both fortunate to get a CJO. SFE are heavily focused on FedEx but have great instructors and technique on bringing authentic stories out of you, instructors there are amazing.
Emerald coast has great potential as well but never used them.
Kit Darby aviation consulting has great instructors as well. I used him mainly because my company pays him hope it helps!
Good luck on your interview!

Here is what I thought: If you blow the interview would you regret not doing it and risk 6+ months of seniority? I had interviews at the Eskimo and here about the same time. Used Rainier because Emerald Coast was booked solid. Rainier was more focused on Alaska stuff, but the lessons taught worked great at Delta, too. I only know people that have used EC and Cage with success from both. Good luck.

Used EC and got CJOs at the two majors I interviewed at. I felt way over prepared in the interview (that’s a good thing), and I do feel EC helped a lot with that. I have friends who did nothing and got CJOs, but like others have said, how will you feel if your interview is not great and you don’t get a CJO…well at least I saved $500? People interview all the time and don’t get CJOs, I have to wonder how many of those people didn’t do everything they could (e.g. professional prep) to be ready.

For me, I didn’t think I needed it. Never used it and was hired at Delta and another major.
Studied from AviationInterviews.com and wrote down a list of all my aviation “events” that I felt could be used to fit standard TMAT and similar questions. Worked great. Interview was relaxed.
