How is it paying dividends? Your saying they keep hosing you on the inside 2hr NC'able and you file repeated STS's, or you just don't seem to be getting hooked for any trips in the first 2hrs?

My old note for a previous NC stayed on there, until I NC'ed for another SC and the old note appears to have been overwritten by the new one. I just screen shot these things in case.

Ted is correct. 23.S.9.b.2.d is very clear that, if you are noncontactable on SC, you can only be given "a rotation with a report as early as two hours from the start of the short call period".
To be clear, if CS assigns such an 'early' report, CS is required to remove this if called. There is no grey area here as to the legality. Whether CS removes it or not is another question (whether though ignorance or willful disregard, they fail to follow the contract on a regular basis), but you cannot face discipline if they don't remove it and you are 'late'. Regardless, once you are within 2 hours to report, you will likely be in a "fly now, grieve later" situation. If CS fails to remove it, you should file an STS, which will get you assignment pay for the A Day. In addition, the company must pay the senior affected pilot. SK and IT (former and current sched committee chairs) have confirmed this several times, in several different ways on FB.
Also recently on FB, there was a report of a pilot who was verified non-contactable, including a note on their schedule, and yet was assigned a trip with a report 5 minutes into that SC. CS even put a second note on their schedule that a voicemail was left. What a ____show!! CS documented thier own incompetence, and I'd be delighted to collect 5:15 pay to come into the CPO to explain how.
You are in rest up until your SC starts. Noncontacable is just that - noncontactable. Be professional, but know your contract. IF you choose to go back to "promptly available" status (by calling CS or checking your schedule on iCrew), that is up to you - and you can choose to do that at any time. So long as there is not an assignment on your scheudle when you do so, it's a no-lose scenario. And if there is an assigment, you'd better be able to make it "as early as 2 hours from the start of the sc period"

So you don’t go NC and get a rotation that reports 1:30 in. You go fly it for no extra pay. Or you go NC and still fly the same rotation but now you’re getting 2-8 hours extra pay. There is no downside to going NC. Just end NC status at a time that is convenient to you in order to make a report time at the airport at 2 hours into your SC window.

If they keep assigning illegal rotations that report in the first two hours then he keeps getting assignment pay for the first day of every illegal rotation.

Assignment pay for reserves for an illegal rotation is the value of the first day of the rotation (block + DH + MU). 2:00 is the duty period minimum so you’ll never be paid less than that. Other than that the top end is the amount you block/DH. I chose 8 hours as an approximate max for NB pilots, but really for WB pilots it’s up 2 to whatever our longest block flight is (16-17??).

Scenario: You call in NC for SC starting at 1800.
CS puts trip on line to show 1930. (illegal).
I call them at 1801 and say I'm promptly available.
CS: Cool, you're trip is at 1930.
Me: On my way and I'll take assignment pay please.

Now I'm confused. You said you cannot be disciplined for 'late' and then you said you must be there "as early as 2 hours from start of SC" if you make yourself "promptly available" at minute 1 of SC.

I call them at 1801 and say I'm promptly available.

Any notes a t the bottom of the schedule are for schedulers explanation. Mine have been over written each day. I call to inform them I will be NC as soon as I notice a SC. That call is recorded so if it came to proof, there's that.
