#2 in line for a 4 day trip
#25 in line for a 3 day
#30 in like for a 2 day
#45 in line for a 1 day

Would probably minimize the amount of "hey how come you called me instead of this junior guy I see in here?" Calls if we had the data visible.
This mostly existed several months ago. Mostly.

With the new rest thing, very much less so.

The new experience is: There are 6 people ahead of you but they all have pre posted rest and you don't. Enjoy your trip.

If you only knew the amount of times things like this have been discussed with no action taken by the company.

That’s why I love the Green Book and Section 6. We can’t get much of anything accomplished without it.

The sadder part is coming from a regional that had better tech 9 years ago. And yet I don't remember having yearly IT meltdowns. Actually I don't remember having a single IT meltdown that was caused by our tech.

That's because they didn't all their money on tech, rather than paying us a liveable wage back then.

Regarding the pre-posting of rest, I noticed when they started doing this I think back in the summer they would post rest that was surplus to requirements, but then just move it around whenever they’re Scheduling needs actually required it to be moved out of the way.

If I’m on a four day block of reserve and they’ve had rest posted on day four for the last week (which was notified and acknowledged ), at what point can they just remove the rest and put me on the hook for that day again? Or is that just a wasted day for the both of us?

Scheduling can, generally, remove a reserve assignment whenever they want. You just need to be contactable to make it official.

this happened to me earlier in the month. Everyone else rsv around my seniority had pre posted rest 0600 the last rsv day before a golden x day and they did. Day trip shoulda gone to someone junior to me of course i got it bc i didnt have pre posted rest before my golden x day. Called scheduling “crew resources handles that and theyre not supposed to be doing it but they do”. Submitted one of those smart sheets to crew resources and they added the pre posted rest but they can’t just be adding it to some pilots schedules and not others. Absolute malarky.

edit:typo
