This has changed since they introduced the 717. It is now:

Up to 125 50-seat aircraft
Up to 102 70-seat aircraft
Up to 223 76-seat aircraft (188 without the LOA 9 flow down.)

Nope, it changed contract 2012. 717 allowed more two class in exchange for parking a large chunk of 50 seaters. Don’t know the hard numbers off hand.

  • Flow-up for Integrated Seniority List (ISL) pilots at date of ratification at a rate of 20 per month

Directly from the MEC email.

that does not say those hired after the date of ratification are excluded. It could be interpreted to mean that the flow up will begin at date of ratification.

I'm not saying it's not, but we should wait for the call because that's not very clear

Using our trusty dart system I asked this question. And was told it's only good for the people on the senority list at the time of signing..if you get hired a day after its signed...you're sol. However it could be modified to include more pilots down the road.

First, this shows DL doesn’t care at all about having a flow, but that they are only doing this to get the 35 planes back.

Second, if the flow actually does happen, I would suspect this will change. Flow by design is a recruiting tool. The AA wo’s have nearly the same pay as 9E now, and they have a flow. If the 9E flow doesn’t count for new hires, why would they choose 9E over the AA wo’s. I had offers from piedmont and psa but came to 9E because of the significant pay difference (at the time). However, if PSA had already been In the new contract, I likely would have gone there. The flow gives us hiring power again. No flow, we will struggle to fill seats. Even pre Covid we weren’t filling our quota. We wanted 45+/month, and we were getting 35-40.

Who cares about the pilots hired after this is signed. Let them negotiate it themselves.
