Skywest is no longer competitive for attracting pilots. They had the attitude either that they are so great that people will coming anyway, or that they, the pilots, have no control because people are going to come anyway so they had better take whatever they are given.

But the people kept coming because that assumed that when the pay agreement was up in a year that everyone would get a huge raise like has been happening at the other airlines giving 23000+ bonuses to all the pilots.

I get a lot of other pilots asking be about different airlines and nobody is asking about SW unless the question is, "why did they do that?"

But once people become educated about what SW did, that they locked themselves in to less than inflation for the next 5 years, they will go to Air Wisconsin, Eagle, PSA, Endeavor, etc and make an extra 70,000 over the next 3 years compared to SW.

I started to return to the industry last year, but it wasn't the right time. I have over the 1000 SIC in Part 121. After reading through the forum I am not sure if Endeavor is the best option. From the opinion of current Endeavor guys, what would be your advice? Regionals are all dirty dogs with fleas, but I would like to make the most informed choice to target.

Again, I post the question: To those that are opposed to us getting at least 25.55 across the board, why the hate? Why are you so adamant about us getting less? Are you trolls? Company shills? Seriously, give one good reason why we should accept less in this market for pilots?

Bartok? Anyone?

Tell us why anyone should get a pay cut. Tell us why we all shouldn't get the extra few bucks per hour. Tell us why YOU shouldn't.

I'm all for the extra money, I don't see it as a showstopper for 15% of the pilots that only make guarantee.

All the other things we will get will far outweigh the difference in hourly pay for those guys.

You seem to imply I'm lying because you won't take my words at face value. If I were greedy, my tone and demeanor would be the polar opposite of what I've been showing. But, I guess by showing my face in this forum some must attempt to put me in my place. If I cared, I would've never engaged in the conversation or asked questions.

I've said for a very long time that ALPA has no business representing both mainline and regional carriers. The conflict of interest is blinding. Regional pilot groups need to vote to leave ALPA but that could be fraught with danger, not to mention incredibly expensive to maintain an in-house union. So, unfortunately, the mindset is status quo to tap the resources that ALPA has while both sides ignoring the gigantic elephant in the room.

If you want to stick it to anyone, get the balls to leave ALPA. But, beware the consequences because they wouldn't just give up with out a fight.

Endeavor is a good company. The problem is they are slowly losing ground. Other regionals have matched pay and some have offered a solid career path. It comes down to the big picture. If you want to go to Delta in 5-6 years.......go to Envoy 😳 Because if they turn you down, you still have a job at American waiting for you.

Those guys? Those guys are still part of the pilot group. Those guys are still making money for this company and Those guys should be equally represented. I am sick and tired of this company taking care of a select part of this pilot group and not the group as a whole.

No one wants the motherluvin bonus to expire because that will cause stagnation and downgrades, etc. Or maybe that will cause a flow, who knows. But seriously I am seeing a yes vote by a landslide.
I'll go on record right now that if any pilot is looking at a pay cut, I'm a no vote. (I easily end up at or above 95 hours a month currently so would be getting a raise either way, but I'm not in the same position as most here and could also find myself at 75 hours again any day) I will say that if the hourly rate drops a couple bucks an hour but it's made up for in per diem, 401K pay, ect. so that a reserve/CDO/CNO pilot is overall not losing any compensation and reserve rules are improved, then I may be persuaded to vote yes for the first time in my career....
