Any new word on the DGI and its first applicants? you can only apply after you have completed 18 months as a captain, correct?

Since they opened the applications and defined the process Delta hasn't been hiring, so I don't think anyone has interviewed yet.

Yes, you must be a Captain for 18 months (measured from completion of OE).

Default The big sell-out continues...

For anybody who believes it is a pilot shortage and not a pay shortage, here are the folks selling your jobs to people who are happy to work for the conditions you are trying to improve for yourselves and your family.

Flightglobal Jobs

Thanks to the unions and government for helping to protect American jobs.

Have any American pilots tried to apply for a flying job in Europe lately?

To the people that asked BL if we are merging with Delta ....please stop. Common sense isnt very teachable, I get it, but let's not waste our CEOs time with utter BS.

Delta has spent a fortune to avoid a flow of any type (even a token interview) Anyone here thinking Delta has any interest in giving us anything realistically as far as an easier path through their interview is concerned should be immediately pulled off line and drug tested. This is no magic path to Delta, if anything it's a slower path waiting around for that "guaranteed" interview.

There's a greater chance of being shut down than merging.

What I find amazing is the premium they are paying to avoid a flow, and doing the same thing over again, and expecting different results. Over the next decade, Delta will probably pay a multi-billion dollar premium to avoid a flow. Certainly, another round of retention bonuses will be paid for the Propel program.

Amazing the amount of money an airline will pay to have control over its hiring, huh?

I know you really want a flow to happen, but it seems pretty clear that it's not going to. Unfortunately there are those who I presume are still at 9E who did a good job cementing that decision.
