Currently, envoy's most junior Captain = 8.5 years. Most junior flow through = 16+ years. Recent announcement is strictly bait to attract new hires.

Reserve life at envoy sucks. Hard line-holder at envoy also sucks. Mostly non-commutable 4-day trips with 11 days off a month. No duty or trip rigs.

Horrible quality of life at envoy right now. I'd seek elsewhere.

I'm gonna try this on my delta app. I'll just round up a bachelors to a masters degree and round up some TPIC time... I'll just explain to him that I did it so I could just get the interview but ensure him I really am an honest person, I just really, really want the job!!

😉

But being pedantic is bad aviation policy. Sometimes you have to do a bit of juking around policy for the safety of flight. Every pilot knows this. Uncompromising adherence to policy is unreasonable, and I believe that the recruiters (desperate as they are for pilots) won't make an issue out of it. I DID NOT SAY TO LIE TO THE RECRUITER. That would be a big mistake. But if you can't find a phone number to call and ask directly, I wouldn't worry about them getting too twisted if someone rounded up 20-hours in order to get them on the phone and ask them whether he needed to fly that 20, or if the sim work would cover it. I honestly don't know what the issue is here.
When I interviewed, if your logbook did not match what you put on Airline Apps (unless you accounted for the difference in the pre-interview paperwork) you were asked to leave very shortly after arriving. It didn't matter how many hours you were off. Uncompromising adherence to policy was Eagle's deal then, whether or not you find it ridiculous.

Lol yeah, that is exactly the same. Fibbing a year long masters against a weeks work of flying; Delta pilot applications versus the regionals. Sigh...

wow, wow, wow... Why anybody would pencil whip application?? TSA for example have 1475 on their webpage, so all I needed is someones personal experience with subject since no official info and recruiters, usually, not aware of such things...

glug glug glug. I'll just give up. When I applied I got a call from a recruiter first to go over the app. Not saying to show up to the interview, just ask the question on the phone. So, okay, better simply to find a phone number and call them first. I certainly wasn't advocating showing up for an interview without having that question resolved.

Okay, and can you honestly say 8.5 year upgrade is going to hold? No, it is already dropping. Just think critically for a second please. I'd like to think people who would be a captain at a 121 airline could think critically.

I started with 1475 TT. No problem.
