Wasn't trying to be the guy saying "it can't happen" just sharing the rumor being spread.

I totally understand they can figure out Aspen if need be.

Here you go, brah:

I also suggest growing a pony tail and wearing a pair of crocs. At bars make sure to tell chicks about your sweet home setup.

With a bunch of hard work and a little luck, after a few years on the swivel chair at home you should have enough "multi-turbine/multi-jet time" to land a sweet gig with a virtual airline flying a 747 between LAX and Subic Bay.

Well if that's the goal then its not as rosy as it seems over at Envoy.

Really? How so? Because someone told you the goal is to lose flying? I'm pretty sure you mis-read what that person was telling you. If not, let me clarify. The goal for Envoy-from AA down to Envoy managers-is growth. More flying, not less. Pay increases are part of that. Opening an entirely new base is also part of it.

The CRJs are the least of anyone's worries. They are staying for the time being. But long term Envoy's future is primarily E175s with a small amount of E145s. In our contract we have 40 E175s guaranteed plus options for 90 more. With our increased staffing levels and 50 new hires a month we are working towards seeing the 90 options start arriving late next year.

But hey...don't listen to us. Mesa is always hiring.

how do you explain the APA/AA scope limits which we are almost at, maybe 10 options exercise but you are not going to see 90 for a loooooong time. The only other avenue for growth on the e175 is aa canceling or not renewing compass cpa which would free up 19 aircraft for envoy or some other. it is all nothing but a shell game. here today gone tomorrow. just an opinion

There are a number of things which will play out in the next few years that will affect scope. For example, reducing the amount of outsourced flying, AA taking on more narrow body aircraft, and reconfiguration of existing CRJs.

By the time all the dust has settled expect to have only 2 maybe 3 outsourced companies doing niche flying for AA. The rest of the flying will be in house with the 3 wholly owned and mainline.

I'm trying to understand the situation there that's all. The recruiters will tell you what you want to hear and that there's growth. The reality seems like loss of AC as in the remaining CRJs late next year and shuffling of 145s to Piedmont.

We are more than likely going to stay around the same number of birds I'd imagine. If growth is what you are looking for you are looking because that will lead to a quick upgrade right? Well attrition off the top also leads to a quick upgrade. And there will be lots of attrition with the amount of hiring AA is doing not to mention everyone getting hired off the street elsewhere.
