NEVETS , you are out of your mind if you think you will see a TA with higher rates. "Trust" me on this one.
I didn't say that! In fact, I said I feared that my union will agree to modest pay raises and same QOL of the ASA contract. Now, if you are saying that it won't even have modest pay raise to the ASA contract, then I'm not the one out of my mind!

I think you people need to grab a cold one and take a different approach. It's the "give 0 sh*ts" approach. When we see a TA then by all means, come back to this website and b*tch.

In the mean time, enjoy this website "thechive" with a .com

Well said. The Chive is a much more calming/entertaining way to waste time on the Internet.

Sorry in advance if its been covered multiple times. On an ERJ side, how many legs per day is typical?

Thanks

Really hard to say what's common. There is a big variety in schedules and pairings. It can be anywhere from 0 to 6. 6 is rare so is 0. 3 or 4 is probably most common. 5 is also pretty normal. I like pairings that have 1 leg on the last day, I bid for and get a fair amount of these.

I do a lot of trading and don't do more than 2 per day. I've had less than seven of 3-4 legs this year which I couldn't trade out of.

And this means that on reserve, you are going to see a lot of the 4,5,6 leg days. I know I sure do. Six leg days are rare. That said, I have also done 8-leg 20-hour 3 days.

Hi, I apologize in advance if this has been answered.

I'm interested in joining the ExpressJet team, however it would mean the world to me if I could be based in DTW. It is my understanding that DTW is a strictly CRJ-700 base. How Junior is DTW? and is ExpressJet hiring into the CRJ? I know more of the hiring is in the ERJ. Does ExpressJet hire into base or do Pref. Bids? What would be my chance of getting DTW as a base?

Yes, DTW is a CRJ700/900 base only with about ~85 crews. Most junior FO there is currently a 10/2012 hire.

The next CRJ new hire class is June 17, and I'm guessing they will continue to run CRJ classes when needed. If you want DTW you will have to be awarded CRJ700, either DTW difectly or ATL and then base swap with someone. Either way, everyone goes through CRJ200 training, then complete a differences training course for CRJ7, as we do not have an initial CRJ700 training program. Not sure where future new hires will be based, it all depends on company need.
