I'm not really sure what out waiting period is but I know it's not long, when I got hired (a wihle ago) I have insurance in almost 30 days after starting training. MCI would be easy to get into and depending on how people move around on the next few bids you'd hold a line in MCI/IAD MUCH sooner than any other base.

If you apply, you might have to move from Fresno. I believe we have DOT testing for methamphetamine.

The two sides will bid differently for the life of the JCBA IF there is a JCBA.
Parallel tracks, what I've been saying they should have agreed to long ago. But people kept saying the company would never go for that. Well, here we are.
And to answer the question, ISL will happen about 6 months after ratification IF there is ratification.

Do you mean bidding schedules or positions? If the memo yesterday with the blurb about two years of parallel bidding is any indication, it sounds to me like they're considering at least two year fences. But of course, none of this has been "officially" discussed yet since the SLI committee hasn't "officially" met, and the above is just my speculation, not anything I "heard".

Nobody knows. The joint contract has been "a few months away" for the past couple of years. The merged list wont come until that JCBA is signed and implemented.

Well the "dual qual" issue is headed that way. It's going to cost them a boat load of money to put every pilot on the ASA side through the sim. They may think they can just slide it through on the next training cycle like they did with the FO ATPs, but I think a lot of our "older pilots" are going to struggle. Especially is they haven't flown the 200 in a decade.
The FAA has observed that pilots do a pretty good job following abnormal checklists. If Boeing had their way, everything in current production would be a single type (although the 737 really is anachronistic ... a 1960's overhead with new avionics).
ASA / Expressjet had (has) really good training. IMHO they've always gone well above the minimum standard that you see at some places. It is likely the FAA would waive whatever requirement (if one exists) for getting specific training, or make it inexpensive to comply with.

Sorry if this has been discussed but I couldn't find it in the previous posts. How long are the current CPAs for on both the ERJ and CRJ sides?
