Maybe you are referencing our "underperforming" on taking pay cuts for the same management that signed these underperforming CBA's. It's scary/sad that people like CA tony are in leadership positions on the ASA side. The pilots tony represents should be embarrassed. ASA guys you need to get these jokers out of office. Get involved and stop letting the crazies run your union.
CA Tony isn't in a leadership position on the ASA side. He is a member of the CNC. He isn't chairmen of his committee and he isn't on the MEC.

DAL still needs 50 seat feed in the short term to keep with their current planned flying. Moving the youngest 200s to ASA makes sense...you guys may actually be able to staff them especially if the UAL flying starts shrinking. Again, purely speculative on my part, but it all makes sense. As for the 30 900s, who knows what DALs plan is for those right now aside from the big wigs in ATL.

Not a bad rumor considering ASA got a whole bunch of the old style engines super cheap and intermix them on the 200s.

There are currently no classes scheduled, but if the rumors of new airframes are accurate, and taking into account our current attrition rates, new hire classes should occur relatively soon.

We're WAY overdue for some sort of good news, so I hope that this rumor of airframes is legit, Capt Tony seems to act as if it is. Other rumors that are "hot" right now are:

Hottest:

-Multiple people have told me they have "heard" that when several FO's have resigned recently, a certain CP (BH) has been quoted as saying "Are you sure you want to do this, you might regret it."

(CP's are just like LCA, they typically are not in the know whatsoever and find out news just as we all do, via an email. Not discounting BH at all, but I find it hard to believe that a CP would have any clue about potential airplanes or huge news.)

Far fetched, but gaining momentum:

-Expanded AA operation in DFW, perhaps E-175s?

(I consider this one highly unlikely since an E-175 program would have to be announced by Sept 30 for us to have ANY chance to be ready for Summer 2015. Not out of the question, but it's an entire new fleet type, and if certain Training Dept pilots were going to school on the
E-175, we would know by now.)

Extremely unlikely:

-Skywest needs help in LAX with their AA operation, perhaps L-ASA will lend a hand?

(Yes, I heard this...and like you I had to do a double take to it's absurdity.)

Titanic has a better chance of arriving in New York than the following:

-We will begin a flow with Fedex.
(I literally heard this in the DTW crew room and LOL'd as soon as I heard it. The nonsense people make up is mind blowing...and yes the CA who said this said it with a straight and ultra serious face.)

If we're getting new airframes why would they come from 9E? Is 9E literally imploding upon itself? The rumors indicate that they are having a huge problem staffing...but honestly, I want proof in the form of a 9E seniority list from 1/2014 to the most recent one showing
A: Attrition and B: New hire classes for me to fully believe their staffing debacle.

I hope that if any new airframes come to L-ASA that it is not at the cost of another pilot group.

This all makes perfect sense, especially considering I quit just two weeks ago. Good luck, guys.

Oh, yes, I'm sure the ASA pilots who are well represented will throw out their reps because the angry, disgruntled side with NO representation wants to stop their reps from getting beat up at every meeting.. Ya, ok. That makes sense.

And it's funny how your side can meet all your goals, yet every ERJ that takes off still loses money.

1. I doubt BH has inside info.

2. I've been told our E175 program has been in progress for the last year, and is ready to go as soon as we have a "start flying" date. Stay tuned for an announcement. IIRC, I read on a forum somewhere that the AA RFPs begin flying around mid March.

3. Doubtful we will do any LAX flying, but all my SkyWest contacts tell me rumors are FLYING around the HQ in SGU that something absolutely HUGE is right on the horizon. Still trying to determine how this will effect us, but it's said we will get a small piece of it.

4. FedEx or any other airline flow? Dream on.

2. It was publicly announced RFPs by Skywest inc and TS inc. No word on who won the bid though. I believe it was around that time frame or sooner.

4. I would have rolled at whoever mentioned this or came up with it.
