What's the Latest at ASA/Expressjet?

When you have others that rely on you, you don't but all your eggs in the xjt basket. Another way to look at it is, I have others who depend on what I get paid now and my QOL (days off), so don't go making this place worse for me by forcing concessions.
Seriously though, if you didn't have this as your only egg basket, how would you feel about concessions? That really is the way we should all think. Those are your true convictions. But it is easier for those of us who have a plan b.

This isn't the only egg in my basket....I made plan B and C after the dot.com bubble and 911....I still love my job and won't just give it up because you aren't happy. If this job isn't meeting your expectations and you have a plan B and C, then I expect you to exercise your plan B and C. However don't try and take me down with you because your plan A didn't work out your way....Those are fighting words and I will fight you...
Take you down with me? I thought Skywest was executing plan b without LXJT? Why would anything I say here take you down with me? I'm already convinced LXJT's best case scenario is a 100 aircraft fleet. More than likely, it will be gone in about 5 years with lots of pain every year til then. And I'm completely happy with that, thank you very much. I just stated that people should have a plan b and be ready to execute when it suits them and not a moment sooner. And that that's they way they should vote when the time comes. What's wrong with that? That's the only thing that will truly make you happy, living honestly by your convictions. I'm ok if your convictions tell you to save this job at the cost of concessions for the majority of others, even if I don't understand that defeatist mentality.

Is it better for the entire group, as well as our families, to have a job with a contract that has better pay and QOL while eliminating unrealistic outliers like LTD banks, vacation drop and pick up same trip for 150%, vacation low, B fund that nobody else has, etc...? What's wrong with that?

Chip finally got the opportunity to axe Holt... those two never got along anyways.
---------
As far as Ms. Marren, she is a *former* employee of United. Her most recent gig was as a consultant for the Future Strategies Group, specializing in strategy in the areas of aviation, customer service, operations, emergency response, environmental affairs, labor relations, finance and security.
At United, Ms. Marren oversaw the Network Operations Center, the “nerve center” of the airline, including the functions of Flight Dispatch, Meteorology, and Operations Analysis; Security for the entire United enterprise; all daily operations of United Express, itself the largest airline by number of departures in the world, along with management of its relationships with 7 flying partners; and Emergency Response for all of United.

OJI banks are CRITICAL in this job. A simple injury can remove you from the cockpit for 3 months easily. In a normal job, a twisted ankle or knee keeps you of work for a week at most.
LTD is an insurance benefit which I pay for. The economy stinks, at least if I lose my ability to fly, I have supplement to replace some of my income while training for a new job. Lets keep it for LXJT, if ASA doesn't want it, fine.
