Sounds about right. The new-hire program is 6 weeks. So remove the week of Indoc and that’s your timeline.

This is what I was talking about, thanks. I'm a local who can forsee myself doing a turn assigned on RSV day 2 of 4, all set to head for the employee bus, and then getting the "hey since you're legal, we're gonna have you do a BUF turn."

as an LGB FO that bids reserve, i don't have this happen. it might just be in the bigger bases. by what mechanism would that occur? i thought we were under no obligation, once we are on a trip, to be contactable about this kind of stuff? again, i haven't had it happen, so i don't understand the concept.

It's just a joke. Neither training is very difficult.

Sounds like what a bus guy would say lol. I found the transition from 190 FO to 320 FO to be the easiest training I’ve done. I think that’s more a testament to our instructors. They’re great.

You haven’t had it happen because they aren’t allowed to do it, pre CBA and post.
