Lol. What are they paying for BIO fuel. Didn't they sign some huge agreement for alternative jetfuel.

Bio fuel among other things, including several apps this won't get more than 100 downloads.

Most recently, Jetblue became a major investor in an app that is going to allow you to purchase hotel rooms by the hour... you know, for travel purposes on layovers by the airport for that pesky 2 hour connection (nevermind it will take an hour to get to the hotel, an hour to get back, and a hour to go through security again!)

I'm willing to bet that if the app ever gets past the development stages, the only hotels that will sign up are the ones that you can already get hourly rates for... and they aren't for travelers with a short layover.

I took a look at this. They start billing 30 minutes after you click the reserve button whether you're there or not - try that at 7am on the Van Wyck. It is also only in NYC and San Fran and exclusive to "luxury" hotels. The 2 hour shower and power nap will run you about $175.

And it will get pushed to the iPads. Instant 3500 downloads for marketing.

Listen, from pay to uniforms to support Jetblue is among the worst. The only thing this marketing run airline is good at is lip service.

Another epaulet button gone off a new shirt. Self disclosure - I did inform the FA that I'd cross one seatbelt if she'd safety pin it back on so I wouldn't look like a fool with one epaulet on last leg. NOT a juicer, blue glove matador, or burn the house down guy. She laughed it off and pinned it anyway. We actually do have people that appreciate the humor in it.

The article is written like they asked Hyperboy what it's like to work at JetBlue.

3. JetBlue Airways Corporation

The company's website is vague when it comes to employee perks, but JetBlue does offer a comprehensive package of insurance, retirement and profit-sharing benefits. In addition to free JetBlue travel, employees also receive reduced-rate standby flights on other major airlines. The pay tends to be a bit low in comparison with other carriers, but employees seem to think that the corporate culture and perks are worth the salary trade-off.
Insurance is well behind the industry (this has been discussed ad nauseam), retirement is also well behind our peers, and profit-sharing was just recently devalued and is a non-guaranteed benefit. The article says pay is lagging but juicers--err, employees just love the (faux) culture so it's all worth it!!!!!!!!
