I understand there is a lot of emotion about this issue. I'm trying to form an opinion based on facts alone.
Facts:
ASA's contract is one of the newest, and ASA is widely cinsidered as one of the better regionals to work for right now.
ASA's first year FO 70 seat pay: $23
Gojet's first year FO 70 seat pay: $23
ASA's 5 year Capt 70 seat pay: $69
Gojet's 5 year Capt 70 seat pay: $66
I still don't get your argument.

Fact, ASA has soft pay (trip/duty rigs). GoJet does not.
Keep trying. Again, the hourly rate is only one small piece of the equation. While APC gives some ideas, it's not the total picture.
I would also question any airline that is having a hard time finding people when there are THOUSANDS of furloughed pilots on the street that would quickly fill those seats if it were a desirable place to work.

pay is not everything. dont morals and character carry any weight anymore? i'm not saying they suck because they work for those wages (a lot of regionals wages suck), i'm saying they suck because it should be tsa pilots flying those planes, regardless of what some judge says. just as the case is at republic/chq/shuttle and pinnacle/colgan as pointed out by pp. additionally, tsa is furloughing and gj is hiring, yet they are under the same holding company, thats really nice isnt it?

Thanks for the input though, guys... I understand your argument a LITTLE better now.

I think this is your strongest argument yet; there has got to be something I am missing since Gojet can't seam to find enough pilots to fill its seats... I'm just trying to figure out what it is I'm missing. I still have a hard time understanding how Trans States has benefitted very much by this when they are paying their gojet pilots more than they are their TSA pilots (I know Gojet flys 70 seaters and TSA doesnt, but there are operators who pay the same to both).

Sure morals and character carry weight, but if the pay comparison helps show that Trans States wasn't intentionally trying to screw TSA pilots, then where is the moral ineptitude and character deficiency?
If TSA pilots want to fly those routes they can go fly for Gojet.

ugghh...i need to stop visiting this whole site, this gets frustrating.
go back and search and review why gj is a different set of pilots in the first place. you will find tsa pilots would not fly for the offered wages, and therefore the company circumvented the tsa pilot group. there is a difference between gj/tsa and others. gj=alter-ego
