Face it...most major airlines really don't care what happened at your last regional...H/R will look for PIC time and get you an interview...the chief pilots are going to be older on the interview board, so they will likely not even think twice about gojet.

Except the fact that Delta HR will be doing the hiring now, so what is their take? Keep in mind that the average line pilot at DL took a very keen interest in who was interviewing and where they came from during the last hiring round. Granted it had to do with a certain DCI carrier, but the same thing could happen if the Gojet pilots are associated with being like the RJDC guys. Delta HR is very sensitive to the line pilot's input. Plus it's not the CPs who are part of the interview process, but line captains and recently retired guys whose purpose in the interview is to act as a filter for the line pilots.

GoJet literally takes airline safety back seventy years.

Sounds a lot like the flight school I worked for...and we were fairly prestigious for the area.

Keep going to work for alter egos and you won't have anywhere to go because there won't be better jobs.

But hey, those CRJs sure are shiny.

777 pilot is from Delta..said it really won't matter...and remember...Delta is Northwest and Northwest is Delta...just more people involved now...They really care about the hours and how you will fit in their company.

As a pilot for Delta, believe me when I tell you that those guys are out of the loop with the majority of line pilots. I actually had a 777 captain try to tell me that Delta had recalled all the furloughees 2 years before I was actually recalled. As for your last statement, the company does care how you fit in the company, and if the sentiment on line is to not hire pilots from a certain carrier, they will try and match that. This is from a 9 year 767 pilot. However, feel free to totally ingore how the middle part of the seniority list feels about certain carriers.

P-51D: Regardless of what your sources tell you, pilots going to GoJet is causing pilots at Trans States to lose their jobs and whipsawing pilots against pilots. I don't care if your sources say "its not a career ender," I absolutely believe no one should go to GoJet. Do not support anyone's decision to go there and certainly don't tell anyone it is "Ok" for them to go there because it is not.

Then, I'm sure they told you that the pilots interviewing you during the interview have a lot of say in whether you get the job. If you do somehow slip though the cracks and manage to get an interview, the outcome probably won't be so fortunate. The guys doing the interview are in the loop with the industry. Just like they know what Skywest or Mesaba is they will know what Gojet is they sure as hell will if GJ does actually cause the liquidation of TSA as it looks like managment is trying to do. TSA is very well know in the industry with a good reputation. You do not want to be associated with GJ.

Yes your career will not end at Gojet. CRJ700 time is still valuable in Africa. However, you will have a black hole on your resume for the rest of your flying career as having worked for a alter-ego, union busting airline.

Sorry to shatter your arguments Carl, purpleanga and others, but here you have it:

ALPA sued and petitioned NMB. I presume this was before you gentlemen were at TSA based on your arguments.

http://www.nmb.gov/representation/deter2006/33n009.pdf

Since the above decision was rendered, has ALPA done anything to support your allegations that GoJet is an alter ego? I can tell you for a fact that ALPA is telling furloughees to apply at GoJet.

So... there's a legal decision by the courts, there's ALPA telling members it's OK to go there. It sucks that you were furloughed while another company under your holding company is hiring, but hey... isn't GoJet offering TSA furloughs preferential hiring?

Holy thread revival Batman! I don't really have time to go back and catch up on the argument here because, at this point, I don't really care. I'm out of here (airline industry) as soon as I've got a firm hold on the next rung in the ladder. Hasta la bye-bye
