I would hope they would at least open it for the guys who didn't meet the mins the last time it was open, but do now, maybe open it for 48hrs or something

That assumes we want guys that barely meet the mins when we can still choose between thousands of well qualified people. I would like to see the window open for comair guys though.

Barely meet the minimums? A lot of FOs have over 6,000 hrs SIC Turbine, and perhaps got their ATP andnTYPEva few months ago........hardly call that barely meeting the minimums

Thanks for reminding me.. Currently there is special emphasis on hiring Comair folks according to the discussion I listed above.

I dont say that out of malice, I was a comair guy years ago, but its true.

JetBlue has very targeted hiring. Unlike other carriers there is substantial weight placed on specific backgrounds at certain times. The phrase "selected for an interview" takes on a whole new meaning.

I wonder if a lot of guys start to leave Jblue for UAL, if high time RJ FOs will be of that targeted demographic

I'd say that high time RJ FOs are already a heavily targeted demographic here.
