How long would it take to go from a first year FO at PSA to a first year FO at American with the current flow through plan?

No one knows the answers... At the current size of the pilot group, I'd say 15 years accounting for attrition elsewhere.

With reserve at just about a year in the outstations and significantly more in CLT, it's going to be about 2 years before a new hire can expect to qualify for upgrade with 1000 hrs. Someone hired now would be about 1200 seniority, with "projected hiring" of 1000 more pilots (expect less) I don't see upgrade from growth. Upgrade time is already trending up expect upgrades in seniority order to pick up as there are enough permanent captain reserves.

2 years for a new hire with 0 121 time maybe , not a new hire with the required time already . I also think the current reserve times are a little off because there was some time where PSA was not hiring any FO's this year .

This ^^

Reserve times will go back down as hiring resumes full swing this coming year.

How many A/C does PSA expect to add during 2016? Did they staff in advance for the A/C or are adding as the planes arrive?

How many do they expect to hire during 2016?

Thank you.

I believe it's 32 or 34 in 2016. I'm told 48 new hires a month through 2017

Right now they're only getting about 10 new hires a month and talking about parking airplanes. 48 new hires a month is flat out not going to happen unless pay was dramatically raised. Everyone hired recently is experiencing lots of reserve and stagnation due to very few coming in below them.

The company is too stupid to raise pay. They believe the populace pays bills in fairy dust and rainbows.
