Either way I always leave there feeling hot and grouchy.
I agree. I was there Thursday and it was hot. When it gets too hot, I go to the center area outside the offices. It's noticeably cooler there.

Take your medicine, and your hot flashes will subside. Starting to sound like a flight attendant thread here.

Why did you come here? Almost every other regional is paying more for the same job.

The grievance that takes 11 months to resolve or the 2 more months to pay out? The inability to resolve critical coverage pay, for more than a year, that was a key selling point in the Contract?? The recently reduced flow number to 2 a month due to staffing (whether caught up later or not has cost several people 60-100 seniority slots at AA) so far ??? SAP bidding that takes 4,5,6 hours to approve/deny; maybe???? Pay that introduces selected bonus/retention -vs- long term pay improvement for all ????? If AA is your final career goal, OTS hires will be a quicker path in the not to far future (1-2 years IMO). If these things are not an issue and you like good equipment, safe maintenance practices and domicile options that you feel others do not offer at higher pay/retention options, PSA is a safe place to apply!

I hope the payroll issue will be fixed, the first year pay is already low so every penny counts..

Nevertheless looking forward to start soon.

Any news about how many new hires start this month?

Be aware that the commitment is 24 months and NOT 1 year for the new hire bonus.

Default PSA vs. Commutair

From the Commutair thread:

"Erj upgrade is just under 60 days right now."

************************************

Commutair has 50% higher starting f/o pay.

If you happen to have PIC mins you can upgrade in 2 months, making $63/hour,...... (2 1/2 times what you'll earn at PSA in your first year), and you'll be building your 121 turbojet PIC time.

Upgrade for PSA new hires isn't even on the radar at this time PLUS,.... you'll be "pay capped" at 4th year f/o pay until you upgrade,......... or move on.

Unless you live in CLT, DAY, TYS, or CVG,...... why would you come here?

I live in AVL and I didn't like to commute to IAD.

If you would calculate the time spent for commuting and the money for crash pad/hotel I rather drive 2 hrs to Knoxville (if I will get it within a year).

Because I live in Cincinnati and with bonus money, will make a bit over 45k, minimum guarantee pay. Combine that with living in base, and it's a no-brainer.

Most junior FO in TYS is a Mar '16 hire, FYI. You should be able to get it soon after IOE. CLT is a Oct '15 hire.
