The MIA part is just my recommendation to management. We are the only ones with a CLT base and if we take the MIA base from Republic and become the only regional with a MIA base, it would help. 150 fleet is never going to happen because of the tight market for new hires. When 150 was announced, PSA had 25+ in every new hire class and they didn't see the brick wall coming. 115 long term is more realistic and 700/900s are the longer term A/C not the 200s.

And management is having recruiters lie to people just to get them to come here so that THEY have more leverage in negotiations.
The truth is that this place isn't aweful. It's just that there are so many BETTER options for potential new hires.
The pay is undeniably at the bottom of the regional airline payscale, (for F/O's and Captains), and the upgrades have slowed to a trickle,........ (just like the "flow").
The only reason to come to PSA is if you happen to live in (or within driving distance of) CLT, DAY, TYS, or CVG.

It is awful at the bottom.
7 new hires yesterday.
So many other better options than 30 flight hours and 8 days hot For the next year...

We will get FO pay rate increases along with an increase in flow (9/month) in exchange for trading the SAP for PBS. PBS is coming, the company only needs 51% to vote yes and the flow increase with slight work rule improvements (rigs/higher min day/premium pay) will get the 51% yes vote. Even the latest union survey mentioned PBS meaning our MEC is willing to let us vote on it.

We can share MIA, PSA 700/900s replace Republic 175 flying. Envoy does 50 seat MIA flying. The future of AAs regional feed system is all about recruiting new hires and wholly-own flying. Crew bases are about 1/3 of recruiting. PSA gets MIA to boost recruiting and Envoy opens back up LAX with their 175s.

Nothing will improve for YEARS.
The company does not need to pay you more to do the job you are doing at the current cost.
It is a relatively new contract and from the companies perspective people who can will leave and the ones that can't can't.
They are still hiring some with the "industry leading contract, quick upgrades, and flow to AA" they have now.

I can see the flow number and PBS being talked about behind closed doors but you are right. Without the work rule increase the two would not be enough to curve a positive vote.

Growth would benefit everyone. The company lost momentum and that has caused the growth to stagnate. If 25-30 new FO's were starting each week, the upgrades would pick up and likewise the flow number, as each new captain comes online (even at the current meager number). Increased track to the left seat, which is what pretty much everyone is looking at, means increased pay and also faster growth of each individual resume, resulting in faster departure to wherever your heart desires.

This actually makes sense. Systemized, is this your opinion or have you heard this around the line.

They are not going to increase anything.
American and Psa are happy with the performance and the cost.
Stop kidding yourselves.
Improvements are years away.
