I know about you as much as you know about me but I know that you are the sucker who agreed to work for peanuts because you wanted to be a friggin airline pilot.
I will be more than happy to swing your gear as long as you don't come with the attitude of yours or you will have to swing yourself sucker.

Long time reader but first time posting.....
I have an Interview with PSA on September 20th and am hoping to get a current gauge of the interview process, written test questions, etc. Also, would love to hear from anyone currently in FO training with PSA.

Thanks for your time

Do you live in any other their bases?

Curious why PSA? Much better opportunities (i.e. Pay, career progression, bases) elsewhere.

I'll shoot strait with you. I'm a fairly senior line holding FO in Charlotte. I typically get one of my top 10 lines that I bid for in Charlotte. Typically they are 100% commutable both sides, but if their not SAP takes care of it. For me life is not bad, other than I wish upgrade would get here faster.

Life on the bottom of this list is completely different. Flow is a joke, even for me, upgrade is going to be eternity, reserve is hell, and other than Charlotte the bases suck for comuting.

If you really are able and willing to move anywhere, then I would seriously look at other options. Don't get me wrong I would love the seniority bump, but I think you could probably do better elsewhere.

What are some of the reasons you want PSA?

Thanks for the honest replies....

Well, honestly I'm a 57 YOA ATP rated pilot with over 3300 hours total time. My last flying position was flying CE-501 in Florida for a large corporation but I left in 1994 because my two sons were young and as a single parent I had to make a decision to leave the industry in order to raise my boys. My sons are now grown up and self sufficient and due to the current pilot hiring/shortage I made the decision to get back to a pilot position. At my age I obviously am not looking to flow to a major airline and am willing to stay with a regional for the next 8 years. I am retired from California State Service and have a decent retirement and medical benefits so not really concerned with that part of it. Why PSA? Honestly they were the first airline to offer me an interview and it seems from reading all these posts that any regional has pros and cons and I think it's a matter of personal preference whether someone is willing to accept the conditions or not. I just want to fly again.

I hate to say this because I don't want people coming here but in your position PSA would be a good landing spot. The SAP gives great scheduling flexibility incase your kids get married, have kids, or their kids have kids etc etc. You'll (probably) never see the 4yr FO pay cap and won't be around long enough to hit the 12yr CA pay cap. As long as you are willing to live in a PSA base it should work out for you.
