"the world" at DCA is the non-terminal parking...aka the parking for the CRJ-200s (and some 700s). Passengers are bused to the world from the terminal in a bus that shouldn't be allowed to fit 50+ passengers. Overall it's a headache for both crew and passengers.
PSA (hopefully soon I can call your airline too) park all 200s and some of the 700s there. Otherwise the 700/900 park at a gate.

They are typically good about sending 2 busses for the 900. What sucks is it is hard to go in and get some food. That pizza in DCA is good!

I'm not big on five guys, but that Farmers Daughter Pizza is GOOD! For a change of pace, the Bao Wow is good too. Plus 2 Dunkin Donuts. DCA is great. I am sorry that it is becoming a base. It will mean that we are doing a lot less flying in and out of there from CLT.

Word is that we had more hired at Delta in the last month than flowed to AA.

A lot of Captains are starting to check a lot of boxes. I'd expect Captain attrition to hit record levels towards the end of 1Q17.
