No idea. And you're correct (according to my knowledge) that there is currently no scope that would allow RAH to operate the 300 for a mainline carrier under a FFD agreement, and I for one, hope it doesn't happen. It's my understanding that these were purchased to be used on the Frontier side, but now that Frontier has been sold.... only BB and WH know if or where these will be used. Is the C series even going to be ready for deliveries by 2015? I don't know where Bombardier stands with the certification process.

Hub basing would ease some of these problems, but the company's latest vacancy posting demonstrate that they are dedicated to growing their Northeastern outstations and are doing everything that they can to resist growing any of their hub bases, seemingly at any cost.
If you live in PHX, as your username suggests, you will hate life at any of the Republic bases. I strongly suggest a carrier that isn't clinging to an outdated outstation model and has more western bases.
You may be thinking -as I was when I was in your shoes- about ORD or ATL, but that thought disappears very quickly when I walk past a gate at Sky Harbor boarding for one of these hub destinations and I see as many as six pilots standing there hoping for the jumpseat on an oversold flight. Also, ORD removes SWA from your commuting options and ATL is super-senior and no one seems to know why Republic (Shuttle Cert) has a base there anymore.
However, if one enjoys using 1-1.5 of his or her days off for each four-day trip, has a spare car that he or she can leave in a employee lot in IND, CMH, PIT, SDF, GSO, MCI to drive you back and forth to a crappy crash pad to get 5 hours of fitful and disturbed sleep between the beginning/end of a trip and a commute to/from home, and using a bidding software that doesn't allow you to chose the number of days off between trips/blocks of work days oftentimes leaving you with only two days off to commute to/from home, then Republic is the place for you.

Wow thanks for the insight! I'm actually living in TUL now, but my current commute east is not always easy either. It's too bad that the schedules aren't very commuter friendly, although my current shop is quickly turning that way with a lack of bodies and the new rest rules. I'm about to go 3 weeks straight (if the current plan holds up today) of being reassigned into one of my 2 precious days off.
Guess I'd figured it could be a bit better there but maybe not!

Based on what you said in your second post, I'd like to add that chasing a quick upgrade at Republic might very well not work out, since Bedford himself has said that renewing the E145 contracts may not be in the company's best interest and there are signs that they may be starting to go away. The company has finally realized that their staffing issues are not going to easily go away and there a many people who think that the E145s will be phased out and the pilots moved into the Ejets and the Q.
This plan makes good sense for the company as they would see tremendous savings by dumping an aircraft type and a certificate, but it'll push upgrades back by another couple of years and then significantly slow them since most of the company's "lifer" captains are already on or moving to the Ejets.
Good luck with your choice, I hoped that I've helped pass on some worthwhile information. I may sound pretty down on the company, and I am for a series of reasons, but my goal is to help others make an informed decision. Republic might be a good choice for people in certain situations, but I didn't have the benefit of anyone telling me the many problems that are deeply ingrained in Republic's corporate culture and outstation basing's drastically negative effect on QoL.

So I've asked before on this thread but thought I'd hear some thoughts with the potential new contract coming out... my situation is that my current employer might not even be in existence next year, and I'm just looking for some place to hang tight for a two or so years (hopefully only that long) log some good time in a good type and hopefully move on. I also want to live in base (NY). I have an interview with Republic next week just as an option. I guess my real question is, do you think this "new" contract will have any hope at making a lateral move like this worth it? I'd only make the jump for a LGA base, so I'm shooting for Shuttle. I live 45 minutes from JFK/LGA. Anyone have cliffnotes on what the TA might look like?

I wouldn't hold your breath for anything great. IBT national is in charge of negotiations now. Both sides are interested in getting something done for the sake of progress. Even if we have a TA in the next month, I expect it to be sub-standard and then voted down by the pilot group. We've been waiting 6 years, why settle for something crappy now. That's my opinion as a topped out FO.

1. The company is desperate for some reason
2. The new negotiators didn't just walk in and hand over our proposal then walk out
3. Since 2. we must be retreating from our proposals or asks over the last 7 years.
If you've read this far I don't think we'll see a new CBA before June anyway. Finally, with the division taking over the negotiations, nobody has any idea what they'll produce.
