Anyone wants to trade this job for the office, go for it. Youll be back in a month.
Sucks no, much needed improvements yes. Latest Union email is a fail. Pay up!

Quote: Only stagnation is top 500-600. Upgrade is faster than most especially if you have 1000 121. DTw and MSP are senior so if stagnation is MSP or DTW then you are right but company wide is moving at a steady pace. Career progression will come.
Can we make this the banner for our new sub forum please?

Edit: I would say 50-60% of the guys I've flown with sub 500 seniority have Delta CJOs or are trying to move on to other carriers still. Your top 300-350 are NOT going anywhere. Ever.

You thought wrong. ALL regional pilots are glorified bus drivers

That's for JFK, btw. Other bases are longer.
I think upgrade time will increase. Huge hiring way that Endeavor started in the summer and fall of 2015 will see those pilots starting to hit 1000 hours. We should have 30 to 40 people hitting 1000 hours each month for the next year and a half. Don't come here now and get caught on the backside of the upgrade wave. Pick an American carrier that's an easy commute and go there for the career progression. Endeavor is a great company but I wouldn't come here as a new hire now with what AA Wo offer in career progression.

Is anyone else finding it disturbing that the union is trying to fund a pay raise for the top end, on the backs of the junior pilots. Their solution is for reserve pilots to pick up open time to fund the difference. Yeah, I'm sure those guys want 8 days off a month.

As an over 55+ guy, previous 121 PIC time, 9E is appealing to me mainly because of the new base which is driving distance and the fairly quick upgrade. Flow at AA is not really a consideration for me, although PSA base is also a drive away. So it's going to be a toss up between the two, followed by RAH. OTS hire at a legacy or LCC such as WN or F9 would be even better.

Really? 1st year FO compensation $60k 20year CA $105k.
Who's on the back of who? Think you have it backwards.

It would be foolish not to accept the company's proposal. The majority of the high credit average comes from OE buyouts. This is not a FO vs CA issue, it is a junior vs senior in position issue. If I could bid for 17 days off a month, and all trips with LCA for 120+ credit a month, I would. A reserve pilot who commutes, only gets 11 days off, with 82 credit a month.

Ok see your point. I'd also take company proposal as long as "salary" is included into 401,sick,vac,disability.life insurance.. they could also have 2 payscales: below 75 hr and above 75.

Curious if retention bonus/salary is paid the same if you drop a trip and go below 75???
