Is the 145 split 50/50 ORD/LGA or do you get to choose which base if you get the 145? Or are they divided differently

You choose which base you want if the 145 pick is available

That helps. I’m not particular on which aircraft I get, I’d just like to get ORD or DFW for commuting ease. I’ll choose the best available for either of those bases when it gets to my pick.

DFW most likely will not be offered for a while to any new hire. The 175 guys are getting ORD, the CRJ is only in ORD, and the 145 gets to pick ORD or LGA. You should have no issue getting the 145 in ORD as long as you’re not the youngest in your class.
