Spirit of NKS
i guess we'll see how much of a voice the noobs get at the negotiating table when they throw the first TA at us. I might be cynical but I don't have high hopes.

I really hope we are doing more than just hoping we get more schedulers, because we won't if we don't do something.
While you are on hold for that time you(we) should be filling out an NCC. Contract allows us to check in via contacting scheduling in lieu of computer checkin. Holds of this length don't allow us to check in and an NCC needs to be filled out.
An ASAP should he filled out too. And before some say "you can't ASAP hold time," you can. Per the FAA AC on ASAP:
"Reports that identify a general safety concern, but do not appear to involve a violation of the regulations"
Needing to reach a scheduled to discuss 117 duty times and not being able to. I would be curious to see the FAA rep's view on the ERC if 50 of these come in.
Take the time to fill it out and we may see results. If nothing is done on our end, it will never change

NCC and where do you find it?

Look for the NCC on the left hand side.
It's a form to file to report suspected contractual violation.
Fun fact: a lot of these NCCs end up in a free hour of pay for the pilot.
I really don't care about who makes up the majority because old or new, the CBA results will be the same. You pups think you're smarter than the average bear... We'll see. The noobs comment was simply a retort to TJ's unprovoked, unnecessary, and unsubstantiated category 5 douche comment about senior capts making deals with cs. I've heard more about newer guys playing lets make a deal than us old guys. Personally, I have spoken to a scheduler once in two years, and that was because I was timing out.
You kids STAY OFF MY LAWN!
Rabble, rabble....
Rabble, rabble....
Old or new, side deals with CS hurt all of us, they undermine our unity and contract.
I was not here for the strike, but I have my own history of union work, and I am grateful to the ones that paved the road for us to enjoy the benefits of a contract.
Thank you for that!
Fly by the contract.

Let's get one thing straight please. There is a significant difference between Ram (and I) and the truly senior guys. I'd say about 5 years. Ram and I are here because we were trapped by Sept 11. We were part of the "hire guys who will leave in 30 months so we can keep flying our check airmen lines" new hires. Please don't lump everyone who has been here longer than five years into the grouping of "I fly to Bogata or nowhere at all". There really is a difference.

And here we go. Divide & conquer, lol. Old, new, middle of the road......... Doesn't matter, we all should want the same thing, more $, more time off.......
Though I will say this, some, not all but some senior guys are so out of touch with the industry that id much sooner want a "regional noob, newhire" voting on our future contract than a guy who still thinks AA has furloughs who haven't been recalled
