Guys,

AirApps asks the following:

Have you ever been:

A Chief Pilot? Yes No
A Director of Operations? Yes No
A Director of Safety? Yes No
A Check Airman (Non-Military)? Yes No
FAA Examiner? Yes No
FAA Approved Program Examiner? Yes No

I am assuming these apply to civilian positions as defined in the FAR's....true? I was the Director of Safety of a hospital EMS program but NOT the Part 135 Certificate Holder Director of Safety. I have also been my units Safety Officer and also the Operations Officer in my military unit.

I am assuming these position do not count. I am asking because you all are taking about checking the Director of Operations block....I wouldnt think there would be that many people able to tick that block.

Thanks!

If you were director of safety and director of operations in your military unit, then check YES for both! They count. Also, list those in your accomplishments and awards block.

I was told that unit safety officer does not meet the intent of director of safety. If you were the chief of safety, then yes.

If you don't check yes, it definitely won't count.

I agree. Just make sure your resume can back it up.

Is it a bad thing that this thread has dropped off the first page? Hiring is still going hot and heavy? Will there be a slowdown during the summer months?

No slowdown. Hiring through the summer.

Just wondering... If someone has an app on file for a year with no call, but updates it, adding a few internal recs on airline apps, is there any additional required steps to assure HR reviews it again?

Nope. Mine was on file for 2 years before the call came. Just keep updating, and review your app for completeness.

Mine was on file for 5 years, updated monthly. No HR issues.
