Hey Eric. Your post have made it to our union website. Thank you for saying what you did. I agree, we need to build off of each other. Omni being a bottom barrel operation with the greatest profits of all competitors combined, needs to lead the way. The practice of bending over a dollar to pick up a penny, that we all see, needs to end!!! Our personal time is important and every aspect of our personal time needs to be compensated....PERIOD!!! Hopefully by the end of the month the Omni pilot group will see what is possible and vote accordingly. Again, Thank you for your insight.
I make no accusations, just stating facts. Ryan, when under leadership of Jeff Crippen, ratified a horrible first contract under a threat of being shut down. Within months of that vote, our MEC chairman no longer worked at Ryan and opened his own GM franschise car dealership in a small town in Kansas.
Now, I'm not saying anything inappropriate happened, I'm not saying it didn't happen, I'm just stating the facts of our situation. We voted in the POS contract, the company threw a party at HQ, and we suffered over 6 years until we were able to right those wrongs. One of them being the new owners of the airline terminated Mr. Crippen!
Let me be clear, I know nothing of the situation at Omni, nor do I make any accusations towards your union leadership, or do I know anything more than what I've read about this alleged "inappropriate" meeting in Hawaii. I just find it interesting, conspiracy seems to follow Jeff Crippen everywhere he goes.

Interviewing, hiring and attrition are all still very high.
Not much new operationally. The second 777 is up and running from what I hear. We are down to one 757 and the first 767-200 is up and running doing our Vegas flying.
The TA with the new language should be out today or tomorrow with voting beginning shortly after. From the brief given from the EXCO about this new TA work rules will relatively remain the same with a minor pay raise still below industry standards from the most profitable company of all of our competitors. I give it a 50/50 shot of passing, only time will tell.
Hope this helps.

Not sure on competitive mins, it's all about internal recommendations. Our new-hire class ranged from 3,000hrs to 8,000hrs with varying backgrounds.

Wow... $250 a week.!! How on earth do they expect to hire the best of the best...with those kinda of incentives. Thats a mockery to the industry. How are the employee benefits and how long is the training??

Training is about 2 months long (including indoc, systems, sims, and down time). I had about a month off after training before I started IOE.
The benefits aren't great as far as insurance is concerned (at least, as compared to my last airline). We have relatively high premiums.
