Yes. I am getting RRd enough where it is a substantial improvement to my finances. Usually I get rerouted on the last leg as well and the trip credit applied with a premium. My last several RRs were all between 10-25 hours of pay each.

What fleet though? I wish I got rerouted that much on the 320...

For NYC ER, the most likely ones are 3-5 day domestic trips with a 2+ hour sit in Atlanta on one or more of the days.

6 hours of RR per month equals a whole month's worth of extra pay in a year. Basically a second profit sharing check. Oh, and it counts towards your profit sharing check.

As was posted below reroutes tend to happen when something is going sideways like our big snow event. I was consecutively rerouted and due to just nightmares in the operation they were down to min rest. My fix for that is calling tracking and having them start my rest when I get into my room. That usually results in ten and change to 11 hour layover but it’s still short. This time I wasn’t able to get ahold of anyone since so many folks were calling in. My point of having an app based software is this could allow a lot of would be calls to be cleaned up and create some efficiencies. Downline it would probably be a huge benefit to other crews too, lotta ways to work around this. As for reroutes I’ve had 3 post new contract but I do my best to stay from work as much as possible. I’d imagine most folks aren’t getting rerouted enough to make a meaningful amount of money but that’s a number that everyone sees differently. Forums are where the vocal minority hang out so your results may vary.

I’ve heard of people getting 30-60 hours of RR in one month or summer flying

As was said earlier, the new RR rules were put in place to specifically drive down the number of reroutes. I’d be curious if anyone at ALPA has hard data, but anecdotally it seems that at a minimum the company has cut down on the very ridiculous ones where they are trying to save a minute or two of delay. I’d guess that total reroutes are down across the board since the new PWA. And now when you do get rerouted you get at least some extra money.

As to comms, I agree that we need a more robust system in order for us to reach scheduling. Other than the fact that there aren’t enough of them, it’s really not hard for them to reach us if they need to. But not being able to reach anyone when we’re out on the line is an embarrassment for a company of this size and with this much profit. Even just being able to text scheduling telling them when we will be reporting at the airport after a layover would be very helpful. But even the most robust system in the world won’t help when there aren’t enough people on the other end to respond.

Just went and looked, I got about 60 hours of reroute pay last year. Given that a lot of my flying is almost impossible to reroute, I'm guessing many are doing much better than I did. That's an extra $25k in income for the year, when you factor in PS and 401k. I don't really go looking for reroutes, but I certainly don't get as upset as I used to, when I hear the printer fire up.

Yup. For example, had a 2 GS pay me almost 50 hours in total pay and still got back home on day two, just more than 4 hours later.

I had 31 hours of RRPY last year on 280 hours of total block as a NB pilot.
