Aren't vacation days and coming from a REG line considered to be in that same category? I thought coming off those days you couldn't be assigned earlier than 18 hours.
Vacation has explicit language stating 18 hours is required. Coming off Reg, that’s still true, but it is implied not explicitly stated.

Thank you! Digging through the PWA and SRH couldn't find the reference for either REG or REST.

Coming off REG there is no carve, and coming off REST over a LC day there is. I'm guessing there is an ALPA blast or something that has this written down.

Coming off reg... you're not a reserve pilot. Reserve rules do not apply to you until you're on reserve.

Not everything needs to be spelled out to be obvious.

Even if it is spelled out, it's not a violation until a judge says it is.

a. does not perform flying for the Company,
b. is not scheduled to perform flying for the Company,
c. does not participate in training, other than distributed training (including travel days),
d. does not perform an SLI duty period (including a flex day),
e. is not on Company business,
f. is not removed from his scheduled rotation for the convenience of the Company, or
g. is not on long call or short call.

I can read "g" both ways when you have a 30 hour rest covering a LC day.
24hrs < 30hrs, so 30 hrs of rest contains 24hrs where you aren’t doing a-g items.

Thank you, I think I've got it now. Just making sure I've got all instances where the 10 hour carve out doesn't apply. Consider me slightly less of a Dummy now.

Ok thanks. Follow on question - if I have a 2 day block of reserve due to a PD (3-99-5) can I move one of the LC days to a 3+ LC block and leave a single day stranded? Or will iCrew deny that because of the minimum reserve block logic?

Well, remember you are actually moving X-days, not LC days. Again, it’s really dumb, because it’s backwards.

But that’s a good question. Never tried it. Does iCrew accepts the request

Try it and see. It will tell you if your request violates off day grouping requirements.
