Maybe I misinterpreted the memo outlining QS's, but the way I read it is that a QS on LC days with less than 18hrs to report pays premium above guarantee, so I figured for example, a 2-day QS on LC would pay 10.5 on top. A quick slip on rsv days i looked at as kinda putting yourself on a psuedo short call in exchange for premium. Am I off here on how these pay?

It pays the same as a GS on long call days. So a 2 day QS on 2 LC days would only pay the block for the first day above guarantee.

Ok, now I'm confused too.

Let's say I do a 3 day QS. First day is LC, then two X-days. I get the QS with less than 18 hrs notice. Day 1 block pays above guarantee? Then day 2 & 3 pay at least 5:15 over guarantee and generate PBs and/or PR?

It pays just like a GS on Reserve, there is no difference.

Each day pays block plus DH plus minutes under above guarantee. All credit that is not Block/DH/Minutes Under from 1st 2 days is paid on the last day of the trip above guarantee.

PB days generated on x days.

GS on reserve with LC at the end of the trip is a different animal, and usually not a good one.

Nailed it.

Just adding that Day 1 in the example would never pay less than 2:00 DPM (Duty period minimum), and may pay higher than Block/MU/DH/DHMU if it was a long duty day and DPC (Duty Period Credit) was higher.

And make sure that the trip is coded as "D", not "Q", to ensure the above pay is handled correctly. "D" is for a RES QS reporting <18 hours, just like an "F" coded GS.

It happens often enough to RES that it looks very suspicious. Create a big pay trip to lure RES in on off days and <18 and then reroute them as necessary is the MO. The pay implication always being revised downward is a function of this and maybe not the goal be ends up being the case every time. Good thing I'll have all the extra VAC next year and years to come. I won't be fooled into working for less and all my IVDs and APDs will be paid.

Thanks, that makes sense.

Question on quick slips.

day 1 X day: ATL-SLC.
day 2 X day: 22.5 hour layover. Redeye BOS
day 3 layover (RES day)
day 4 BOS-MCO (RES day) Time out. Rerouted
day 5: operate MCO-ATL (res day)

time card shows 4:02 of qslip pay. Despite day 1 and 2 being X days (with a redeye).

Did I F myself because of the redeye? RRPY pending still. But the qslip pay being 4:02 seems off.
