Ok, having trouble here, who are you supposed to call in ALPA for real-time questions regarding a potential trip coverage error for next day? Long story short, assigned double overlapping rest periods leaving me not contactable for this trip at all. The DART, redirects you to STS, which I can't fill out. Which I know is too late for any of that stuff I guess.

All predicated (and demanded by CPO) on that you actually talked to CS.
I was on hold from the time I cleared customs, the whole 2 hour drive home, and going on1:30 after I got home.
Oh and for same issue, was on hold 2 hours on way in for this trip.
5+ hours on phone. Zero live humans.
CPO won't even look at it until I talk to CS.

One more question. I’ve read the SRH and PWA about using an IVD. The SRH seems to suggest that using an IVD on day one of a block of days will drop the whole rest of the block without pay. But the PWA suggests that you’ll use an IVD for every day of availability that you want. To drop. Anyone know the facts on that?

There are many types:
-YS for short call
-YS for additional on call days
-YS for VAS
-YS for rotations
Each of these can have additional variations on them.
I'm going to assume that you're asking about YS for rotations. The answer to that lies in PWA 23.T.
If that's what you're asking, YS for rotations only get awarded during 23.N and 23.O, i.e. manual coverage (same day, next day, second day.)

The smart move is to drop an IVD on the middle day of a 3 day stretch.

The path is always call scheduling first....they have the fastest ability to fix stuff if they so choose.....ask for supervisor.....then call CPO.....if still told to pound sand and assuming it's not a FAR issue and just a PWA violation that isn't a FNGL exception, then file the jetstream case in crew assist....when that gets denied, take the case number and file STS.
