Did you not post as a fact on the other forum that 100 plus 757's would be parked within 18 months of contract 2012 being signed. I know you posted something along those lines and stated it would far exceed replacement aircraft.
Yes I did and I was admitting I was wrong. I was at the base meeting when Jim Graham told us they we parking 81 757/767s over the next 22 months. Many said it would never happen and they were right. Jerry |

Looks like ER program may be done. Modest program for 50 pilots with 25 slots reserved for 747 pilots. Fully funded by the company but not very exciting.
So the 747 guys will get preference over seniority? KMFA. |

Our rigs are better now then post chapter 11. Reserve is much better now then at that time. Vacation is probably slightly worse but the big vacation changes came in the nineties. One of the big goals during the chapter 11 court hearings was to save as many work rules as we could. For the most part we were successful. We have also made slow but consistent gains since then.
Which work rules that we lost in the 1113 hearings do you want restored? 1) White slip pick up limit is ALV + 15 2) Reserves can be assigned to ALV + 15 3) No pick-up limit on swaps 4) Vacation is pay / no credit All of these are huge productivity improvements, and I wish all were pared back. I acknowledge it's unrealistic to expect to go back to the good ole' days of a hard 75 hour cap, but the pendulum has swung too far in the other direction, imo. Many pilots routinely fly 90+ hours at straight pay, which is what has slowed down the seat progression for all. With Delta making record profits, lets bring a little quality of life back into this job. Just my opinion. |

And over 50% of the pilots in the program will receive more in severance than they would have received had they simply worked until mandatory retirement. I.E. a pilot with 6 months until age 65 retirement will get 9 months of severance. Good deal for them; not much for the rest of us. |
The resolution requiring the line pilots (who the reps are supposed to work for in a bottom up association) to have 7 days to review any LOA and provide feedback to the reps was voted down 12-7 by the MEC.
For Nestor, Hazleton, Schnitzler, DTW and MSP. Is it so much to ask that we be able to see these agreements and give feedback before a vote? If you expect a "historic" C2015 with these 12 you in for a world of hurt. CDOs, trading profit sharing for hourly increases (cost neutral) pay banding and longer freezes. C2015 passes the MEC 12-7 sell job, threats and wild projections to follow. Jerry |
DPA contract survey is out with instant results upon completion. About 175 have taken it so far.

The actual language of the TA is confidential. ALPA is completely top down. You dirty scum line pilots will see the actual LOA only after it is voted in. You would think they learned something with the CDO fiasco. Obviously not a darn thing. |
