I haven't seen any email to that affect but if the company decides to unilaterally abrogate our contract and pay SOME pilots outside of the contact, I predict a sharp decrease in on-time performance, a sharp rise in untimely maintenance write-ups, and a lot fewer single-engine taxies.
And duty time extensions???? Forget it! Not even if it helps me and my crew to get home! I'd rather cancel the flight, stick the company with 4 more hotel rooms, and get us all some junior man pay the next day.

Yeah that's the proper attitude. Screw everyone else because you're unhappy. Go punch a tree

How?
Really?
Everyone on property just got $3000 in the form of commuter hotels.
The Captain pay was never an issue, and is on par with just about every other regional. The FO pay was what needed to be fixed.
The company does not need to/want to retain Captains. They only want to/need to retain FO's.

So what if you don't commute? What exactly do I get? See what we are saying here. Captains are tossed under the bus the help FO staffing and attrition. After the horrifying displacements and garbage pay the rest of us had to live through as FOs the MEC throws a bandaid on the FO side.
I get the strategy and I am happy for the FOs, they deserve it, BUT there is a big what about the other guys here looming here.

Didn't see anything about concessions, in the email, but I did see something about displacements (again). Not sure what else the company needs on that front though.

AAG would NEVER pay a retention bonus to the Captains just so the FOs could get it too. Don't be stupid.

It works both ways. Now the Union is making the company pay.

Misunderstood. I am hoping that in theory this is the beginning of good changes here, but I am also pessimistic that anything will really ever change.

The hotels thing is a bunch of garbage too me, unless the just give us all the 3k annually but I am guessing it won't happen that way, so as a non commuter that bs.

I'm more ****ed about the random benefits to other guys here. what exactly do I get? I know retention benefits were never going to happen for captains, it doesn't make sense for them to give it. I know, but what do that have to offer the guys in the right seat to make me want to wait for the flow?

(Besides, from the LOA that I saw at ALPA today, you will benefit from this as a non-commuter. But still, don't be such a D***.)
