All the more reason to go there. Upgrades are quick there from what I hear. Easy if the FO lives in the CLT area

CLT is pricey??? There are lots of areas in and around CLT that are very cheap, especially if you drop down into SC which is still only 15-20 minutes from the airport.

Not sure what you consider being "pricy" about Charlotte.

I used to agree with some of the things that you have said here, but not lately. I hear all kinds on things on the line too, but you have to learn to weed out 90% of it as ridiculous.

Then take it with a grain of salt, just like everyone else.

And as far as cost of living, Charlotte/Mecklenburg County and North Carolina in general are more expensive than a lot of places to live. Taxes on all sorts of absurd things. Compared to places like Florida and Texas, where a number of pilots / young flight instructors live, it is much more and your dollar doesn't go as far. There's a reason I stay living in Florida. Could I afford NC? Yea, sure. Is my QOL better in FL? Sure is.

Hey endeavor to psa transplants. If you come back you get to keep your longevity but not seniority, right? I think pretty soon we will need street captains and you would be eligible before most FOs for your delter interview. So you'd walk in at 10-year captain pay and then get your delter interview. Or has all that gone away already?

Hats required started September 20. I imagine it's the same at the other WOs.

If on day 1, all captains shows up without a hat, and calls in sick to go home and get it. And then the FO's do the same thing on day 2. Across the board (all wholly owned and mainline), cancelling all AA flights, then the hats will go away immediately.
