Don't be alarmed if you see another fuss arise come 2011 or 2012. We have already let the company take back almost all of what was gained in 2001.
Good luck to those who take an active part in working on the next contract.

Using that logic Boomer we should have three hundred airframes on property now since our pay rates are just slightly above Mesa's.
I agree with you about furloughees not being the only ones who have lost interest in the future success or failure of Comair.
I hope those who are furloughed have been able to move on to greener pastures that Delta's management hasn't yet had an opportunity to pillage.

Thanks for the advice. You are not the first person to mention Buckhead. My wife has family in Duluth and I think Buckhead would be a prime location since it would be 20 minutes from her family and the airport. I currently rent in Hyde park in CVG. Do you think the prices to rent are similar? We pay about $800 per month in Hyde park.
I know this may sound harsh but out of all you furloughed guys and gals, who is actually happy they were F'd as compared to being on the very bottom in JF'nK? (I'm assuming mostly commuters). With Obama giving over 1 year unemployment and me fast approaching a furlough myself, I can't help but think maybe a furlough would be better than commuting to JFK on short call. Am i the only one who feels this way?(assuming you are married or have a family.)
For each married pilot missing his or her spouse/family while commuting, there is an unmarried one that is likely missing the opportunity to have a spouse/family due to the commuting lifestyle.
Both situations are equally frustrating. Although I'm sure unintentional, it is common for one to diminish another's situation by inflating the value of his/her own hardships while failing to recognize or diminish the hardships of his brother/sister.
Rant over
True! I think it is actually the people still there that have "lost that lovin' feeling" more than us furloughed types. It has been a few months and over time...we are getting over the crap we had to go through working there (that is why some say they would go right back into it, they forget). My inside source on JFK crew lounge activity tells me that the place is a mad house, mobbed with people, and lots of complaining and "F Comair" going on.
