And just think about it. If they hadn't raised such a fuss in 2001 you would probably be paying for your training and you would be making less money now than you are making on unemployment. Amongst other things.

Don't be alarmed if you see another fuss arise come 2011 or 2012. We have already let the company take back almost all of what was gained in 2001.

Good luck to those who take an active part in working on the next contract.

Using that logic Boomer we should have three hundred airframes on property now since our pay rates are just slightly above Mesa's.

I agree with you about furloughees not being the only ones who have lost interest in the future success or failure of Comair.

I hope those who are furloughed have been able to move on to greener pastures that Delta's management hasn't yet had an opportunity to pillage.

Do you think the prices to rent are similar? We pay about $800 per month in Hyde park.
No, buckhead will be significantly more than that...there are areas of Atlanta where you can pay 800 a month, but the apt/neighborhood wont be great. A friend of mine is living in a nice complex in Marietta on Windy Hill Road and she's paying 1000 a month for a one bedroom. I can't give you prices on Buckhead, but i'd almost guarantee they're higher than 1000 a month for something paltry.

Looks like I'm going to loose the pool. 125 cancellations at start of flight ops today. Started off with 62 yesterday. Goal for this month is 152 max!

Am i the only one who feels this way?(assuming you are married or have a family.)
Rant: Being married or having a family does not put one in a class all its own. The frustrations of commuting to a job are the same for all those involved. The lack of a legally recognized spouse, or a string of children does not equate to one having it easier than the married/family guy or gal.

For each married pilot missing his or her spouse/family while commuting, there is an unmarried one that is likely missing the opportunity to have a spouse/family due to the commuting lifestyle.

Both situations are equally frustrating. Although I'm sure unintentional, it is common for one to diminish another's situation by inflating the value of his/her own hardships while failing to recognize or diminish the hardships of his brother/sister.

Rant over

Oh a mix of everything, mostly weather and maintenance.

That's ok, I don't think Comair is in Delta's long term plans either

True! I think it is actually the people still there that have "lost that lovin' feeling" more than us furloughed types. It has been a few months and over time...we are getting over the crap we had to go through working there (that is why some say they would go right back into it, they forget). My inside source on JFK crew lounge activity tells me that the place is a mad house, mobbed with people, and lots of complaining and "F Comair" going on.
