Everyone has their own opinion. A thought that may work is the following... bid the -200 for quicker movement in base/seat. QOL is huge and you will make far more money (net) with a line on the -200 vs the -900. So get on the -200, get to the base you want, then watch the line awards until you can hold a similar QOL on the -900, at that point swap over, then upgrade with the same thought process.

A guy hired 6 years ago... He's already a captain and if he wanted to move on to Delta has about a 70% chance of that having happened (The SSP acceptance was way over 50%.. the numbers are published it was about 70% acceptance rate per pilot participating after the second interview) If this pilot is bidding for over 80 hrs credit he is earning 95K this year, plus per diem, plus performance bonus. This guy is in the 89th income percentile of the US.

As pilots we are blessed. The company is doing us well and treating us well for an entry level airline job. The pilots annual income here tops out at $112,000 per year. The top has also caught up at Endeavor. Guys complaining need to open their eyes, they are facing first world problems.
+100! Spot on statement.

Some new hires are even leaving in their first couple years of employment for psa/piedmont/envoy to american flow. I can say I blame them. This company has really become a great place to work, but we dont have any kind of flow. I know if United was to start a flow at another regional we'd probably have half the company bail.
This is the exact reason we need a flow! Keeps people coming in from the bottom and flowing off the top. Simple!

Show me where you get the 70% numbers for the ssp. Until I see them,I would have to disagree.

Now that's we are officially approved for EFB, can we use our own devices that are under the approved list or do we need to wait?

You'll have to wait until rollout for regular line pilots.

Those who participated in the trial will be able to continue to use their devices. From what we have heard it sounds like Endeavor will be providing the devices to the pilots although that has not been specifically spelled out yet. So PLEASE don't go out and buy an iPad expecting to be reimbursed for it. We don't even have the mounting hardware for all of the test program members yet.

The LOA is still "on motion". In the end everyone will have jepps on an iPad Air 2 or newer. What is said before the LOA is done is all in the effort of being "PC" but everyone will be afforded the ability of charts via an iPad platform regardless of what you have now, without a responsibility of providing one yourself. Don't try to read deep into details when the end state is that we keep our flight bags in the stack around tanerite and blow them up from a distance. When we come to work by/before March, it's simply an ipad platform that will "be available to pilots".

First off the top guys (over 20 year) are still not whole from the pre bankruptcy concessions. Both the payscales and the damage that PBS has done still affect them. Next, the SSP has not offered jobs to anywhere near 70% of the pilots. Maybe 50% of eligible pilots have been given offers... now some of that is because of Delta turning down a lot of captains, likely out of fear of inability to replace them here as much as them not being "Delta material" and some is simply we have a LOT of lifers here that will only leave because of age or the company shutting down. If a flow were offered today, that simply required you to say the word yes, nothing more. Not even have to log on a computer to check the box, just say "yes" we'd probably still only see about 15% of the top 300 take it, and thus short of GoJets or SkyWest going out of business affording us growth in DTW and MSP, there will be almost no captain movement in DTW or MSP for the predictable future. Once the bonus is converted to pay rates, I'm betting that % will drop even lower.

They might have a hard time backing that number up, the success rate for October was 6 of 26. The program is a total flop, why anyone would apply at Endeavor is beyond me. Even if your end game is Delta you'd be better off going somewhere else (AA wholly) and applying off the street. If you actually get selected at least you'll have a real shot, if not you'll have a backup plan. Plus captain attrition is going to slow since they've ran through the SSP on that side.
