jetblue pilot poolies

Well I get paid above average for a second year FO at any major and that as the eight of you love to fling around "is a fact". We are still on the peer set pay scale, for now anyway. Hence the fact is we are not lower on pay alone. Once again argument for a CBA. As for Workplace environment you and I must agree to disagree on that subject. Day to day is the guy next to you makes up most of my exposure to the company, hence I value the quality of individual that the company puts there. Obviously you don't, just a difference of opinion. You obviously have not flown with the backstabing, moral less individuals i have flown with and known over my carreer, quality of the pilots i fly with is a big issue for me, after all any organization is only as strong as its weekest link. FNG brought up the real issues. Great post FNG320!!
Sounds like you're willing to forego a heck of a lot in terms of compensation and benefits for you and your family as long as YOU can have a good time while YOU are AT WORK!
You have fallen for the Disney labor model-
Their employees are TOLD that the magic "Pixie Dust" is more important than compensation. Spread the joy, go home with less.

OK, I'm forgetting your an E190 guy. Jetblue is an A320 Airline. The A320 guys are below average. That is a fact!

Gonna try this again...
Any assurance classes will continue jan/feb/mar? I have unique opportunity to take buyout from current bankrupt carrier and have to decide this weekend. Of course I really want to take it but with my luck classes will stop. I'm mid 80s in the pool.
Thanks in advance for any insight

Told that? Sure, but the only ones that buy it are on the college program. There's a reason most of the work groups at Disney are union. Do you check your facts before you just blast things out on the internet?
And I guess now it's the negative guys that are comparing jetBlue to a minimum wage, entry level position on the level of a glorified carney. You should have more respect for yourself. Sound familiar?
The big point of this thread (other than actually keeping poolies informed, which seems to have shifted to talking guys out of even coming to jetBlue) is everyone has their reasons for going where they are. Me? I won't touch DAL with a 10 foot pole. Sure, they have great compensation, but I've already been beat down by the Delta machine for the past 5 years at the regional level. Talking to my buddies over there, sounds like their management cares just a tad bit more about actual Delta guys. I don't really WANT to hate the company I work for. Been there, done that already. UAL/CAL bases all suck for me. Commute to EWR until I'm 60? No thanks. AA I'd be okay with the MIA base, but I'll have to wait for half the seniority list to retire before I could hold it. Even then, I'm driving several hours to work. With jetBlue, the only base that DOESN'T work out for me is LGB. So, even if they were to close MCO tomorrow, I'd still have BOS, JFK and FLL.
I'd much rather work to make the place a destination carrier rather than throw my hands up, call my co-workers morons and take my ball and go home. In the long run, that does nothing. If some of you wanna call people out for being selfish, take a long, hard look in the mirror. Some of us here are willing to work for and support a CBA for all of us rather than catch the first train out of town. How is that more selfish than just running?

According to what we're hearing at OSC right now, Dec 5th has been bumped up to 20, all E190s. At least that's what all the instructors are being told. Not sure if that means a total increase or they just moved slots from Jan/Feb into Dec, though.
