Well, IF it gets to that, it'll be better to sit reserve for 3 month @ 76 hour credit, and then have the line back in January with 76 hours min pay.

This is only temporary, isn't it?

90 x $38 * 3 / 25 / 7 * 30 = $1758 monthly
plus $1285 = $3043 MONTHLY PAY
Might want to rerun those numbers. Your math is a bit fuzzy.

Max UI benefit in TX is $521/wk.

Yeah, they divide your base period quarter with the highest wages by 25, but the WBA maxes out at $521, so those $3000+ monthly numbers you came up with are not valid.

Unfortunately they are not contractual. Mesa offered those outside of the contract. They can and have pulled out of their end of the agreements they made even though myself and the pilots upheld our end of the deal. In my case I recommended two pilots come here and the pilots completed their IOE ( I did receive those payments for those ) and both have been here over two years. The company is reneging on their end it appears.

If you talk to an attorney, ask him/her about the possibilities of this being a discrimination lawsuit, having the Mesa B737 pilots excluded from this MOU, please.

Same company, same contract.

11% concession for everybody. They only make 62 hours? Well, if I would be a Captain there, my hourly pay would double. My pay would increase by 66%.

No matter what, same company, same contract, same seniority list, but different treatment?

The fact that they CAN vote AND don't need to take any concessions makes this very interesting!

Well I hope you don’t get hosed in the long run but sounds like when any bonuses come back they’ll need to be accompanied by their own MOU’s to officially make them ALPA lawyer enforceable since they apparently aren’t worth anything otherwise. Hard to imagine why people would second-guess the company’s intentions with this MOU....

I think they still are valid. This is including $300 per week stimulus COVID amount.

My base calculation is actually right.

$1758 monthly is the unemployment benefit, way below the 521 max / week. It actually would be higher for October and November, since those month have 31 days.

But you're right, max weekly is $521. I'm glad you caught that, someone is paying attention. 👍👍👍

So, new max monthly IAH based unemployment numbers until the end of the year:

$2'307 + $1'328 = $ 3'635.00

Based on $521 per week, plus $300 per week stimulus amount.

The stimulus COVID relief IS in addition to unemployment benefits, isn't it?

Haha yeah..IF you live in base..no problem! Otherwise..have fun commuting to reserve with the schedules the way they are now. Spoiler alert..it’s not fun..and the money you pay for hotels will cost more than those 8 hours you lost.

I wasn't considering the extra $300 because some states are having problems with that ( admittedly I do not know about TX), and those funds are currently extremely limited, barring any future funding.

I am subtly trying to make this very point. This all happened last month before our a lustrous MOU.

A company who reneges on its most basic promises to its employees can only be expected to take advantage of the same employees during times like these.
I actually don’t fault the company. Businesses are in business to make money not employ people. I accept this idea so therefore I can’t be mad at Mesa for trying to cut cost to save money. Difference in that concept and what Mesa is doing with the bonuses is that good companies will still honor their promises they made.

Have fun commuting to reserve when JO furloughs in January on 68 min credit. Furloughs are coming if flying doesn't increase dramatically.

Be sure about that!!!

Be prepared for a second (third) COVID wave to hit once winter comes around. Combined with the flu season.
And then, news come out that a vaccine is only 25% effective, if there is even a vaccine?

Good luck with that.

Have fun on reserve on 68 hours credit. Heck, I'm sure they'd lower it to 50 hours. You voted it in, you deal with it. No more pilot's interactions needed. That's exactly what it says on the conference call email FAQ's. FACT!!!

However, the Company may decide to furlough or ask to extend this MOU in January, depending on market conditions. Extension of the MOU requires MEC approval, who could elect to resend it out for another vote.

That email also shows conflicting language:

- Furlough numbers aren't known, but up to 490
- 490 pilots will be furloughed if this MOU doesn't pass

Which one is it? Up to or exactly 490 pilots?
