I assumed I'd upgrade when I was ready. I also assumed PSA management wouldn't be actively trying to scuttle this place. Of course I knew there was a pilot shortage. It's why I joined the industry. It's also why I'm not worried about fixing PSA. I'd like to see them make the correct moves to bring back the growth and movement because it would most likely mean pay has gone up and I wouldn't have to commute. If they don't, I'm not sweating it. I'll just work somewhere else because pilots are needed everywhere.

Envoy is pulling 145s out of the desert, clearly they're staffing. WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU WANT THIS TO HAPPEN?? Demand the MEC to take the deal, email them NOW! THE OFFER IS STILL THERE. TAKE WHAT YOU CAN GET NOW.

Go for contract gains later, like in June when we meet with the company to renegotiate the flow.
I agree with this, but the 10K annual bonus for FOs should be converted into actual pay rate increases. Maybe $10/hr increase for all FOs which is equivalent to 10K annually. Management put money on the table and it should be locked into the contract until a new CBA is ratified, not just two years. There's no reason the union should say no to a $10/hr increase for all FOs. Captains are underpaid, but FOs are even more underpaid.

Do I really need to go on? When the new 900s go to Mesa wil you finally be convinced?
Where does it say the 900 deliveries are slowing down?

Did you miss the last 3 delivery updates that have come out over the last several months, maybe a year at this point? I'm sure they are lost somewhere in 168 pages of this thread.

I know 3 700's are being deferred, but don't recall anything about slowing the 900s

We've deferred all the transfer and new 700s for now. The last release I found said the 24 900 delivery would be complete by the end of July. I thought we got a company email saying the 900 deliveries were now going to take all year. I certainly could be wrong on that. As things stand right now we won't ever get to 150 aircraft and if our negative growth continues at its current pace, we won't be able to staff many more than the 100 we have.

A lot of PSA pilots who have been hired 12-18 months ago have already upgraded because they had the time, have ~500 people below them, and will probably be in the middle of the seniority list by the time the year is over. Not bad at all for some. Everything is a matter of perspective.
