Default $24 1st yr. pay.

$24 first year pay. You are subsidizing your own 'bonus'. Yawn...nothing to see here.

PSA expands bonus to include 135 time.

PSA Airlines, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Airlines, is expanding its bonus program for new-hire pilots. In addition to the $10,000 signing bonus all new-hire pilots receive, PSA will now offer up to $5,000 for new-hire pilots who have 1,000 hours of Part 135, Part 121 or any combination of the two.

PSA is committed to remaining competitive in the dynamic regional marketplace and the expansion of its bonus program to provide additional benefits to pilots with Part 135 experience helps ensure it attracts and retains the best and brightest pilots in the regional business.

PSA’s existing industry-leading employment opportunity offer the highest quality of life in the regional industry with rapid advancement opportunities and an unmatched pilot flow through program to the largest airline in the world – American Airlines. PSA is a healthy and stable carrier with a defined fleet and growth plan and the airline plays a vital role in American’s long-term regional network. Since 2014, PSA has doubled its size and now operates 106 aircraft and will continue to grow to operate 150 regional jets.
You really want new hires to come here? Then improve life for the pilots you already have. It's really that simple. Two years ago your greatest recruiting tool was pilots on property telling all their friends to come. That has stopped - largely because the company has chipped away at quality of life so much until current pilots are discouraging their friends from coming. It really is not hard to get the train rolling again. But it's gonna take more than a bonus. Just listen to your own people.

Why don't you just raise pay unstead of just playing games with these bonuses?

Also:

PSA does NOT offer industry leading employment. The company violates our contract daily, and a pilot was threatened with being fired if he did not accept an extension.

PSA does NOT have the highest quality of life in the regional industry. The SAP barely works, and the reserve grid manipulation by the company doesn't allow anyone that isn't on reserve any schedule flexibility whatsoever.

PSA does NOT offer rapid advancement. There are MANY First Officers that have the time and want to upgrade, but can not. There are also many people stuck for months and months being domiciled in bases that are not commutable, with schedules that are not commutable.

Is it true that PSA pilots are getting ready to start informational picketing at CLT, DAY, and at larger job fairs? This will look great on the news.

If this is true, how will this help recruiting PSAJOBS?

BUT they do have all those big shiny 900s. Isn't that what PSA voted concessions for?? None of the above should be a surprise. Just unfortunate that the pilots on property are getting snubbed once again and all the bonuses are going to newbies.

************************************************** ***********

If a 135 pilot hasn't come to PSA for $10,000,........ he's not coming for $15,000. This just continues to demonstrate how clueless (and stubborn) these amateurs really are.

So what's next? An additional $5000 for CFI's based on dual-given? How about an additional $5000 for pilots with A&P licenses? Ohhh I know! an extra $5000 for pilots with janitorial experience!

Gimmicks, after gimmicks, after failed gimmicks.

Meanwhile,.... other (non-AAG-wholey-owned) regional airlines are filling classes because they simply increased pay and benefits.

Buy a clue, Dougie.

*I've never had an issue with anything here other than my pay check being off. And I've turned down an extension before and called in fatigued and had a missed assignment etc etc

*SAP works for me and I get what I want every month.

*Agreed on the rapid advancement. Unless we see more upgrades (which aren't likely to happen until mid summer or so) id say that someone hired today is looking at 3 years to upgrade. As far as scheduled go, when I was on reserve and holding round 2 build up lines I rarely had to come in the night before and I always went home the day my trip ended.
Replies above in the quote ^^^. Honestly I think some of you guys make this place out to be the absolute worst. Other than low FO pay (which I imagine will have to be fixed this year or else AA won't have any relatively cheap regional feed) I'd say this place has been what they said it would be. Do your research before coming here. It isn't all rainbows and unicorns but it isn't the flaming dumpster fire that some make it out to be. Also, keep in mind that the people you see post on this board are less than 5% of our pilots (if that). And often they are upset with the company about something.

So, in summary: "This place sucks and people that don't even work here know it sucks, but come here anyway and bump my seniority. Who cares if FO pay is abysmal? Besides, there's a chance based on nothing more than my own words that it'll get better, but don't complain if it doesn't because I told you it sucks."

Pretty much, yes. That is exactly what he is saying.

I think more of what he is saying is that if you do your research PSA is what you signed up more. Besides the critical pay PSA is what we signed into contract a few years back. We took this pay for growth and got a lot of growth and now we want that growth and more pay. FO pay is bad but we got offered some thing to make it a little better and said no. A lot of places would have killed to have as many quick upgrades as we got. Is the pay here not what we signed in? I know it's unpopular opinion here but some of our pilots want more while the ones we could help suffer. Getting pilots in the door benefits every one even if that means not every one gets more money.
