Someone hired in 13' will probably flow in three years or less. It will take a long time for mid 14' and after though.

This may have been asked before and if it has I apologize. I think I read somewhere that the airline provides hotels to commuters 4 times a month. Maybe I just dreamed about that...I don't know. Is this true?
Also...does someone who commutes have to get a crashpad? It makes sense to me that one would need too but I'm not sure as I'm new to this and just want to make an informed decision before accepting a potential offer of employment. I mean....20k for the first year while having to also pay for another place is going to be a little tight.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Why go to a regional that only pays 20k? Other regionals are paying more with commuter clause.
Why are you asking me this? What difference does it make what my decisions are to anyone other than my family? I understand PSA has a commuter clause as well. I just don't understand how having something that states if I miss two flights then I'm released, would answer my question to whether or not a crashpad is needed. Should I just count on always being released?.....how much sense does that make? I'm just trying ask so that I can learn something and decide if this is something that I want to pursue.

Cause I can. You're commuting to a regional. There is no qol, unless you live in base. Especially for 20k when you can go to other regionals that pay double that. So good luck on your decision.

PSA does not offer commuter hotels. There are airlines that do, so you were not dreaming it. Unfortunately, PSA is not one of them. We cannot even get a hotel in base for a cancelled overnight while mid-trip.
You will need a crashpad while on reserve if you do not live within the callout time of your base.
