Question 1: How long would it take a new hire to hold a round one line in DAY, TYS, and CVG?

Question 2: What scenario would offer the greatest QOL? 1. Holding a round one line in DAY, CVG, or TYS (two leg commute) or 2. sitting reserve in CLT (easy one leg commute)?

My greatest QOL factor is max days off. Looking to SAP down as low as possible. S.O. is the bread winner so pay is not my top priority.
Thanks

No one knows. If we can actually hire more people, then your reserve time will be minimal, especially in DAY or CVG. If we can only hire 7 per class, it will be longer.

It is all up to Dion/Parker and what they do in the next several months. If they really are going to raise pay and increase benefits at all of the WO'd, then PSA might be a good place to be. As of now, however, it is not.

Right now, there are only a few FOs on reserve in Dayton and CVG as we are pretty short staffed. Who knows what it will be like in 6 months. I wouldn't even want to guess.

Also I wouldn't base your decision to come to PSA on SAP. Right now the system is taking several hours to process the request and last month it had to be done manually. So it may or may not work for you.

Also Managment doesn't like SAP and there is a rumor ( I stress Rumor) that Managment may be trying to bring in PBS in exchange for those pay and work rule improvements. Then you will find yourself doing a 2 leg commute for no reason.

My suggestion would be to find an airline that has the easiest commute you'll probably have more time at home and definitely much less stress.

For instance. Even if you SAP down and have 15 days off that turns into only 11 if you have to leave the day prior for every trip because it's a 2 leg commute.

You will have no qol here at Psa as a reservist and a commuter. Go elsewhere if you don't live in one of the bases.

No idea of your prior experience but crew scheduling/Managment here is deliberate in their lack of concern for qol.

You can expect 5:00am hot reserve for 8 hours in Dayton for the first of your block (or 6:30am in CLT) maybe you do an out and back (about 25% of the time).

Then the remainder of the block you will be buying hotels or sitting in a crash pad until the last day you will get assigned a turn the night prior that will be extended at least once--despite others on day two wanting to fly--that will make it difficult/impossible to get home.

Rd one at best and a minimum is a year out. You must have Rd one to sap

1 hour call out in TYS and 2 hours in CLT. Not sure about DAY and CVG.

Short call is 1 hour in TYS. I believe it is 2 hours all other bases. 12 hours LCR all bases.
