Exception: A pilot will be provided a scheduled break in duty prior to their deadhead when: the pilot is scheduled to deadhead at the end of their rotation, the last duty period of the rotation contains a flight duty period, and the last duty period of the rotation is, or would otherwise have been, scheduled to begin prior to or during the pilot’s WOCL and release after the pilot’s WOCL.
So, the way I interpret that, I have to have a layover after my red-eye flight before deadheading home. Does the first part of 8.D.3. (return to base as soon as possible) apply after the layover? Essentially, does crew scheduling have to get you back to base as soon as possible after the layover, or can they just put you on whatever DHs they want (2-leg DH that releases at 2345 vs. 1-leg DH that releases at 2145)?
Thank you for the replies.

23.A.52 does mention "prorated credit hours associated with their period of unpaid absence..." so I feel MLOA would fall under that stipulation.

Yeah, I’m slow. I read all that and still didn’t quite understand how it all fits together. I’ll take another look though. Thanks for the reply.

Question for the gallery, as I’ve had this happen 4 times now in the past five months or so:
SC scheduled for tomorrow. Phone rings for a GS that has been auto-accepted. Don’t like the cut of its jib so I turn it down. For the short time it’s on my line it overwrites the SC and it seems that scheduling has to manually reapply it.
1st time it happened, they put the SC back on almost immediately.
2nd time it happened, I checked an hour later and it showed only LC. When I checked 4 hours after that the SC was back with no new notification.
3rd time it happened, the SC stayed gone for good.
Well it just happened again and 3 hours later the SC is still gone. At what point (if any) is this bank error in your favor?

Apologize in advance for the dumb question, but I haven't been on RSV in a long long time.
Go home leg on last day of a 4 Day was changed to a later flight (not a delay) I know I'm not due anything for arriving more than 4 hours later because it doesn't not interrupt my X day.
Am I entitled to reroute pay for that last leg? And if so, I assume it's 50% because it's before any break in duty?

ALSO, since the last leg of your rotation was involved in a reroute, if there is any trip credit (ADG, etc), then that credit will also get 50% paid extra. All of this RR pay will pay on top of your reserve guarantee.
