I wasn't asked about this nor did I have a clue there were negotiations going on because the last we heard there were none. Be careful with your generalizations. Last I checked this wasn't put out to a vote. Tell me how the hell the Captains threw a "brat attack" when nobody knew this &^$% was even going down.

CAs did throw fits actually. On the FB page and they blew up union members telling them to say no. I'm on the fence on this decision. The FOs absolutely needed this and the captains turned it down. Yet that awful flow LOA the captains pushed for super hard cause they now don't have to keep up with their logbooks and actually prepare for an interview, and it was a horrible deal for FOs. So it's pot meet kettle here. I agree that this bonus is not a correct fix, and we should get high pay rates and QOL enhancements instead. That being said, I am very disappointed in how the Captains are acting on this matter, especially after their push on that flow.

Bad is probably not the best word but let's be honest adding one person per month and a real flow only benefitted the senior CAs. No FO heard the news and said yay I'm staying here for my flow now they just made it 18 years not 20! For most people half way through the seniority list or newer the flow means nothing. Every one saying well we didn't vote NO so stop complaining is not being honest. When the news of Envoys bonus got around every CA was calling and emailing union people. It was all over our FB page telling people to talk to the union and say no. You may not have gone on alpas website and voted but you clearly did with your actions before Travis sat down to talk to the company.

Let me try to look at this another way. Say the company returns to offer more. What do we say yes to? If they offer $20K to every one on property do we say yes? Do we say no and fight for contract improvements? If people are giving up money for the good of all pilots thats fine but let us know what we're giving it up for. So with this is mind tell me if you were our ALPA rep not only what would make you say yes but also why we should get that particular improvement.

You voted in increasing the flow from 4 to 5. That was selfish. Why would you vote that crap in? Wait until they offer a flow of 15 per month. A good flow or nothing at all. Why not stop the flow all together until they increase it to 15 a month?????
Why did you accept something that only benefited a small part of the pilot group? The 5 per month will never help someone over 500 on the seniority list, but you still voted it in just to benefit yourself.
It is the same thing.
And the majors have been doing this crap for years. They sold scope for a few dollars an hour raise. Their crap stinks just like everyone elses.

If senior captains leave, junior FOs move up the seniority list and the movement is what you want. You want an additional 10K annually when you become a CA. Have some patience and respect for the negotiation process.
